Lemur Snacks
Zoboo loves snacks! Especially garbanzo beans. Here are some delicious snacks that you can make. Remember to ask a grown up for help when you are creating in the kitchen.
Owl pancakes Turtle snacks
You will need:
Pancake mix (plus ingredients called for on box)
Plastic knife
You will need:
Oatmeal cream cake (cookie)
5 pretzel sticks
Vanilla wafer cookie
Prepare pancake mix as directed on the package. Encourage your child to help as much as possible in this step. Cook the pancakes. Use caution when using a hot stove around children. Put a pancake on a small plate for your child. Help your child cut four banana slices using a plastic knife. Help your child cut two of the slices in half. Use two full banana slices for eyes, two halves for ear tufts, and one half for a beak. Use the illustration to help you. Finally, complete the snack by placing two raisins in the center of the banana slice eyes. Eat and enjoy!
To make an oatmeal cake turtle, give your child an oatmeal cream cake (cookie), five pretzel sticks, and a vanilla wafer cookie. To make the turtle, have your child insert a vanilla wafer cookie into the oatmeal cream cake to create a head. Then have him insert pretzel sticks to create legs and a tail. Presto, an edible turtle!

Bugs in the Dirt Happy Lemur Bread
You will need:
Cinnamon graham crackers
Chocolate sprinkles
Red hots
You will need:
1 can refrigerated biscuits
1/4 cup of margarine, melted
Cinnamon sugar
2 small bowls
Cupcake liners

Line two cookie sheets with wax paper. Melt the butterscotch bits in a saucepan over low heat, or in the microwave, stirring frequently. Add the noodles and peanuts to the melted bits and stir.

Drop large spoonfuls of this mixture onto the two-lined cookie sheets. Shape each "nest" with your fingers. Put 4 or 5 jellybean "eggs" into each nest. Chill in the refrigerator. This will make about 15 "nests."
Melt the butter in a small bowl. Pour the cinnamon sugar into another small bowl. Roll individual biscuits into balls. First, dip a ball into the melted butter. Next dip the ball into the cinnamon sugar. Place four balls together in a clover shape in a cupcake liner. Bake according to the instructions on the biscuit package.
