Some people need glasses if they have trouble reading text that is up close or far away. However, glasses aren't as helpful for people with low vision, or those that can't see at all. A company called OrCam came up with a solution for the blind or visually impaired that attaches to any pair of glasses!
This wearable device, called MyEye, contains a small camera that scans words and reads them aloud. The wearer could use it to read books, food labels while they're grocery shopping, or street signs while they're walking around. MyEye can also remember and record the names of familiar faces, and identify different colored objects. The scientists at Orcam hope to add more features to better support people who face challenges due to their vision!
