Have you ever wanted to design your own game, animation, artwork or story online?

You can with Scratch, a programming language made just for kids. A programming language has instructions your computer can understand to build images, words, sounds, and more.

The process of writing programming language is called coding. In Scratch, you can learn to design your own projects and games by snapping together blocks of code. You can share your projects with other kids online and even redesign other kids’ ideas in the Scratch community.

To get started on Scratch, you can download Scratch cards, flashcards that teach you how to program an action, like changing a color or moving with your arrow keys. You can also watch videos that show you how to use Scratch.
