http://pbskids.org/zoom ZOOMing at the EmmysZOOMers Alisa, David, Keiko, Jared, Pablo, and Zoe, along with their parents and members of the ZOOM crew, attended the Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony in New York City on May 13th. ZOOM Season I was nominated for three awards this year, including Outstanding Children's Series, Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing and Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design. Lynese wasn't able to be there, so everyone was at-the-ready to call her with the news if ZOOM was announced as an award winner.ZOOM didn't win an award this year, but the gang did have a great time in the Big Apple and were really thrilled to be nominated. Here's what the ZOOMers had to say about going to the Emmys. (Also, check out StudioZ at http://pbskids.org/zoom/show/snaps/ for some great photos from the night!) Keiko: The best part about the Emmys was getting dressed up. It was funny to see the guys in tuxedos instead of jeans and a t-shirt. Jared: It was a lot of fun even though we didn't win. I got to see all the ZOOMers one last time. Pablo: What I experienced at the Emmy's was an unforgettable moment in life. It was a pleasure being nominated for outstanding children's series. We had a great time, kind of fancy, and everything worked out well. Even though we didn't win the Emmy, it was a great experience. Reuniting with the cast and crew of ZOOM brought back so many memories. Alisa: My favorite part was seeing the old cast and having fun with them. Dressing up was great. I loved seeing NYC. There were lots of billboards and people selling stuff on the streets. We walked around on Sunday and saw a taping of MTV. Zoe: I had a lot of fun and it was really awesome, and I'm really sorry that I spilled water all over Alisa's dress. David: My experience at the Emmys was a great one! I got to get all dressed up in a tux and looked very sharp and the whole gang of the old ZOOMers looked great too! We didn't win any awards, but we had great fun anyway. After the Emmys, all of us ZOOMers hung out at our hotel. The best part was touring around in New York, though. That city is too cool for words! All my friends and family love my baking and I'm only 11. I think when I grow up I might try baking as a regular hobby like soccer. I think following recipes is really easy but everyone says that some of the recipes I bake from are really hard. Basically what I'm saying is that to me, baking is fun and easy.
