- Abigail, age 11 of Spring Hill, TN
Love it and InkHeart and I'm reading InkDeath! It's a great book. I give it 5 of 5 stars.
- Lea
In my outlook, the Inkheart series is very well written and very interesting. Other than this book, I do agree that the Inheritance and Harry Potter series are way better. But I do highly recomend to the read the series.
- Becca, age 12 of Boise, ID
Let's just say that I wasn't tired in the least when I started the book. And I was asleep by page 3. Not my kind of book.
- Rosalie, age 9 of San Francisco, CA
It's absolutely awesome!
- Jenna, age 11 of Saskatoon, SK
i don't like the books.
- Cantelle
This is a great book! Better than most. Read this instead of Twilight, which is a totally inappropriate book for the majority of the age group that uses this site. Plus this book is way more interesting. But, remember to read Inkheart first, since this book is a sequel. Great book!
- Corinne, age 10 of Murrieta, CA
i love it.
- Amara, age 15 of Long Beach, CA
THIS BOOK IS FABULOUS!!! Ahem... OK, I think the Inkheart series is one of the best trilogies EVER!!! All of the books are great; when I read them, I feel like I've been transported to another world (like everyone in the books). To those of you who say it's boring: you're giving up too soon!! Seriously, thought the beginning was boring too. READ ALL THREE!!! My favorite character is Dustfinger and I'm kinda jealous of Roxanne.
- ZOOM Fan
Well, I tried to read it. The overall concept was good, and you think that after reading books like Harry Potter, Eragon, and stuff like that, I would be able to read this, but the beginning was just too boring. Actually, I haven't read this one, but Inkheart was just too boring. You want something good? Try the Inheritance series. That can at least start out a book!
- Ella, age 13 of San Francisco, CA
I absolutely love this series! Cornelia Funke is an amazing author, and the detailed worlds she creates and more than believable. I don't think this book was as good as the first one, Inkheart, but it is definitely worth reading. The tale of Meggi and Co. continues in the final book, Inkdeath, which has captivating action as well as the deep lessons.
- Lulu, age 10 of North Carolina
Love it!
- Erin, age 12 of Roanoke, VA
This book is wonderful. I read it five hours, without stopping, because it was that great of a story. If you have read Inkheart, you would enjoy the story even more. The story takes place about two years after the first story began. I'm now reading the last of the three book, INKDEATH, and am truly relishing it. 5 toes, INKSPELL
- Anna
I didn't like Inkspell much at all, but after I read Inkdeath (the third book) I would definitely recommend the series!
- Bella of Aloha, OR
i don`t like any of those books boring!
- John, age 11 of San Jose, CA
Inkspell was the best. It fits into 4 genres: action, adventure, fantasy, and romance. I hope they make it into a movie. The movie is probably going to be a hit because of more action and some romance. My favorite character is Farid since he`s the adventure type. Just read the book. I think it also fits into the category: drama.
- Kitty, age 13 of Fayetteville, NC
Love it so much!!! though you should read inkheart 1st or you will not be able to make head or tails of inkspell. take my word for it that wheather you like fantisy or not, if you perfer romance or adventure you'll like this book. though you won't like this book is you like boring books or books w/ nothing in it. this book is awsome, love it, my favorite book of all times, better then inkheart (& that's saying a lot). meggie & farid are my farorite characters.this book is so good. awsome, awsome, awsome. I can't wait to get inkdeath. love inkspell. awsome book. rocks. sweet. sad. cool.
- Kitty, age 13 of Fayetteville, NC
i haven't read inkspell, but i've read inkheart. after reading these reviews I'm so going to go to the libary & borrow it. if you havn't read inkspell read it know.
- Emmy, age 11 of Ottowa, IL
It continues the spellbinding tale of Mo, Meggie, and everyone else. The plot is great, and they use TONS of details. Read book one, INKHEART, so you understand it all!!!
- Angela, age 10 of Forney, TX
Inkspell was the best sequel I ever read! But I prefer Inkheart.
- Ink--Lover, age 12 of Lalaland
i loved inkspell. i haven't read inkdeath yet but I can't wait to read it! This is by far the best book I have ever read, I couldn't put it down.
- Alexandra, age 12
I love this book and I mean love it! It fantastic, I started reading it when I was on holiday and I read it in two days! I think it is way better that Inkheart and a bit better that Inkdeath which I have also read. My favourite charchter is the Black Prince, I dont know why, but mostly because he is a bit more of a mystery than the other charchters! You wonder what he has been doing while Dustfinger has been away, to make the Adder so angry at him.
- Hannah, age 11 of Truro, NS
I LLOOVVEE all the inkheart books!! My favorite part was when meggie and farid kissed in inkspell!! I liked the movie alot too, but it wasn't like the inkheart book though.
- Firdaous, age 10 of Shorline, WA
Too confusing 1 toe.
- Blanka, age 14 of MO
This um... like... well... okay I guess. The whole series kind of gives meh the shivers brrr! It's okay for some people tho. I would give it more toes except one thing being I almost fell asleep while reading it.
- Diana, age 9 of TN
It was great! I like anything by cornelia funke!
- Harriet, age 10 of MD
I ADORE the Ink series! Inkdeath is the best one, but the other two are still fantastic. Make sure you read in order (Inkheart, Inkspell, Inkdeath) so you know what's happened. The movie comes out 1/9/09; I can't wait!:)
- Dee, age 11 of Salmon Arm, BC
I love Inkspell! There's so much magic and all the adveture that's in it makes me feel like I want to be in Inkspell! I like the part when Dustfiger dies for Farid! Didn't even know that Dustfinger showed amotions! I LOVE the part when Farid kisses Meggie for the first time!!! I wonder How long he's loved??? Oh well I love cornila Funke's Inkheart series:)
- Susan, age 13 of Sacramento, CA
I love the whole Inkheart trilogy, though the last book was a little long. It is so exciting and filled with adventure. I have always dreamed of being able to go into a book!
- Christian, age 11 of Oakmont, PA
Who else thinks that the actor for farid is nothing like I pictured him? As well as meggie. Well for that matter everyone! Dustfinger was hard to picture in my mind, but I knew that he has 3 scars, but in all the pictures and trailers he doesnt have the 3 scars! And elinor? I mean come on, I thought that she was an older lady, and a little pudgier. Capricorn? Seriously! He isnt bald! I wish that they had picked dakota fanning for meggie, and I dont know who for farid. And mo... he isnt like I pictured him!
- Katie
I like Inkspell but Inkheart is better. I bawled my eyes out when Dustfinger died
- Sally, age 11 of Halifax, NS
I personally love Inspell because it is adventures, exciting and has you always at the end of your seat. I can never put it down!!. the author Conelia Funke has such descriptive word that I feel like I'm in the story. so that is why I love Inspell
- Maddie, age 10 of Oxford, MI
Love it! And I couldn't believe how much the author made you long to travel into your own favorite story, and be able to take characters out of books. Myself, I'd probably bring out Harry Potter.
- Anna, age 11 of Mercer, PA
Spoilers! Love it! Meggie is my fave character. I love Farid and meggie together it's the perfect match. poor mo. I hope mortola dies in inkdeath. I can't beliece dustfinger dies. Love meggie and Farid!!!
- Silvia of University Place, WA
Like it! I have read Inkheart too!!! Inkspell is a bit more borring though.
- Bubbles of Anonomous
I adore the Inkheart trilogy and can't put the books for it down once I start reading it. It's a touching story and is heart warming but a little disgraceful and disturbing at the same time. I couldn't live without this trilogy!
- Amna, age 12 of Marietta, GA
This book is probabably the best book I have ever read!!! I love it! Cornelia Fubnke is my fave writer!!!
- ZOOM Fan of Visalia, CA
i love inkspell!!! I can't stop thinking about it. I want to keep reading, but at the same time I don't because I never want it to end. I was sad when I heard inkdeath would be the last book.:(
- Anglecake, age 13 of Mississauga, ON
I love Inkspell because it has so many twists and turns. it is a magical adven ture and while I read, I start to dream that all thia can come true. I begin to wish if I too can be in this story.
- Erica, age 14 of Beaverton, OR
I love this book!!! It's so beautifully told and has an amazing plot that you can see in your mind with every sentence. Funke is an amazing writer who is great at putting the right ammount of suspense and description in the story. Even the boys at my schools read it and liked it!! Which means its not one of those "girl books" even though its about a girl!!! Plus I love how its so original and unique. I've never read any other book like it! I'd give it 100 toes if I could. I can't wait to read the third book, its like going to another world!
- Amy, age 13 of San Clemente, CA
I loved this book I thought Inkheart was better but I cannot wait to read Inkdeath!!
- Ella, age 9 of Torrington, CT

- Boogela of New York, CA
Oh my gosh, an incredible book and beautifully written. The way Funke spins the story delacatley with intriging characters, a unique setting, and a delishious story that quickly turns into a beautiful tapastery that you can't help but reading every moment you get a chance. I give it six out of five stars. Or toes, rather.
- Becky, age 13 of Red Bud, IL
What can I say other than I love this book? I think that although there are many different types of fantasy, this brings it all together with a mixture of everything from magic to mythical creatures.
- Chloe, age 13 of Greenville, SC

- Irena, age 14 of Golden, CO
Cornelia Funke is one of the best authors of all time!! This brilliant german writer can take an idea and weave such a beautiful story sometimes it's hard to come back to reality. This book and the first in it's series, (Inkheart) are about a girl named Meggie and her father. They meet some wonderful characters from the book 'Inkheart', but mostly some not-so-wonderful ones. Definately a must read for all the fantasy lovers of the world!
- Sameer, age 9 of Scarborough, ON

I really love inkspell because of the complex and thrilling plot. Never a dull moment! Plenty of twists and turns to keep your brain occupied! I think Inkspell is just as good as the first book, Inkheart if not better. I just feel really sorry for Dustfinger and Farid... and how they can never be together again.
