What's the coolest thing about plastic?

It is a material that can be used to design anything from a cheap plastic bag to a cell phone. That amazes me. How can some types of plastic be stretchy, like plastic wrap, and others be almost indestructible, like car engine parts?

Different materials have different properties. Steel is very strong, and copper can be made into thin wire. The same is true for plastics. Depending on the plastic being used, different properties are obtained.
