Does your family have any special traditions? What are they?
|
My family has a tradition of celebrating Onam. Onam is a festival celebrated by the people of the small state of Kerala in India. We celebrate Onam by playing traditional games, eating lots of food & sweets, watching processions, going to temple, etc. All in all, we have a wonderful time.

On my birthday, we celebrate it on Valentines Day, so I get presents and exchange Valentine cards. It is really awesome because my friends and relatives get to come and play games or watch movies. Then we get to eat a cake that says "Happy Birthday" and "Happy Valentines Day." That is one of my family traditions.

Hello there my family celebrates a fiesta when someone in my family turns 60 and we get materache and I like to dance with them I wear a special dress from Mexico at the fiesta I love the tacos and the burritoes.

After every nine month, which is usually in september we have a religion called ramadan. it is when you dont eat or drink from sunrise to sunset, usually around 7 to 9:00 P.M. we break our fast and we fast everyday in the month of ramadan.

In India we celebrate Diwali. We get clothes and also gifts from our relatives. We also light candles. Diwali is a fun festival!

Yes my family all gets together on x-mas eve and we go to midnight mass after that we open 1 present and on new years eve we stay up till midnight and we yell HAPPY NEW YEAR!! And then me and sister tell my parents Happy Anniversary

On thanksgiving we all have a huge dinner at my Aunt and Uncles house. Then most people play foot ball but most of the kids play Board games. Then we all have pie (Like apple pumpkin and pecan) with wiped cream!

I help my mother make the meal. The most part is I clean the house. Then I have to make sure my dog can be on her best behavior so when we all start screaming for gifts she dosent go wako!!!
