Here is a fun activity:

Roll out a big piece of paper and have your child lie down on it, on her back. Trace around your child's body. Print your child's name on the picture. Your child can draw eyes, nose, and mouth on the face. Talk about what color eyes she has, what color hair she has, what kinds of things she likes to wear. Is there a special toy she likes to carry with her? Offer her crayons, paints, yarn for hair, pieces of cloth, buttons and stickers and have her make her own self portrait. An older child can also help a younger sibling. Put the picture up in a special place. Give your child a Big Hug!
