The Teletubbies love to watch the children in their tummy videos. One of those children makes a treasure box for her little sister, Sophie.

There are many reasons to collect treasures in a box. Sometimes a treasure box makes a fun surprise for a special friend. Sometimes a treasure box can hold special things that remind you of a lovely walk or an exciting day's adventure. Think of a reason to make a special treasure box.

Cigar boxes and shoe boxes make wonderful treasure boxes. You can glue paper to the box and decorate it with beautiful pictures. Or, you can glue pieces of differently shaped pastas to your box. Use non-toxic white glue. Pour some of the glue into a dish. If it is very thick, you can add a spoonful or two of water and mix it in. Have the children dip pieces of macaroni or ziti or even pasta alphabet letters in the glue and stick them all over the outside of the box. Allow to dry overnight.

The next day, you can paint the pasta shapes with non-toxic paints and a large paintbrush. You can also spray paint the pasta with one color or with different colors. Teletubbies love all sorts of colors - blue, brown, red, orange, gold and silver. Paint the box your favorite color, or choose two or three! Let the box dry overnight again and then you're ready to start collecting treasures!
