Play Wonder Red’s Freeze Dance Rhyming Game as a whole group activity. Campers take turns helping Red collect rhyming word family words as she skates to her grandmother’s house. A link to the game can be found below.

Craft Activity: Bake A Fake “AKE” Cake
Campers make a special cake decorated with paper candles that reinforce –AKE family words.

Campers pass around a “hot” pepper. When the music stops, the camper with the pepper has to read an –AKE family word.

Movement Activity: All Across the –AKE Lake and Finding Super Letters
Campers use –AKE word cards to cross a lake so they can bring a healthy snack to the witch. Then campers search for the Super Letters and find the Super Story Answer.

Wrap Up
