In this section, you can find descriptions and educational goals for all of the online games featured on the SUPER WHY Web Site. Super Why, Alpha Pig, Wonder Red and Princess Presto bring you and your child (Super You) engaging interactive games that extend the series curriculum to help him practice his reading skills in a powerful way.

ALPHA PIG'S ALPHA BRICKS
Your child can practice her alphabet skills while helping Alpha Pig protect his house from the Big Bad Wolf! Alpha Pig hosts the game and talks to your child. With each letter of the alphabet your child correctly finds, an alpha-brick fills the hole in the house. When your child chooses the wrong letter, the Big Bad Wolf gets closer to the house, in a comical way! Once she has found all twenty-six letters, your child is rewarded with a big thumb's up from Alpha Pig for stopping the Big Bad Wolf! There are three different levels of difficulty, beginning with all of the capital letters (Easy), followed by all of the lower case letters (Medium), and finishing with a mix of capital letters and lower case letters (Hard).

RED'S RHYME 'N ROLL
Your child can help Wonder Red skate through the woods to Grandma's house while rhyming with common word families along the way. Wonder Red hosts this side-scrolling adventure game and talks to your child. At the start of each level, Wonder Red tells your child a word and its corresponding word family (ie. "BALL" is an "ALL" word). Using the mouse, your child controls where Red skates on the path to collect all of the rhyming words. As the correct words are collected (ie. "CALL," "TALL," "HALL"), they appear on the left side of the screen. When your child rolls over the wrong word, Red will tell him that the two words do not sound alike. After completing three rounds, Wonder Red safely makes it through the woods to Grandma's house with a full basket of fruit!

PRINCESS PRESTO'S SUPERHERO CREATOR
Your child can create her own customized superhero with Princess Presto while practicing her letter sounds to spell words! Princess hosts the game and talks to your child. She must listen to the common letter sound said by Princess Presto and then click on the letter that makes it. When a word is fully spelled, your child gets to choose a new item to dress her superhero. Each time she plays, your child will spell four words to earn a total of four items, including a costume, a cape, mask, and a super chest icon. At the end of the game, your child can name her superhero, print a special poster and email her creation to friends and family!

SUPER WHY...TO THE RESCUE!
Your child can fly into a book to help Super Why rescue Rapunzel from her tower while practicing reading comprehension skills. Super Why hosts the game and talks to your child. In the first part of the game, your child controls Super Why as he flies through the sky. Your child must collect all of the words to fill in blanks in the sentence. When there is one blank left, your child makes it to the next game screen. Here, he must choose the final word from three choices, just like Super Why does on the show. Once your child chooses a word to finish the sentence, he will then see an animation of the sentence he has created. Depending on which words he chooses, the sentence could be silly or help save the day! The game has three levels that form a story. Each level includes an introduction, the flying game to collect the words and the sentence completion game. In the end, your child successfully rescues Rapunzel from her tower and saves the day!

SUPER READERS CHALLENGE
Your child can practice her alphabet, rhyming, spelling and reading comprehension skills by taking the Super Readers challenge! This game area includes four mini-games that focus in on each character's specific literacy skill. This is achieved by using simple game mechanics of clicking on letters, pictures, words and sentences. All of these games also use the voices of the Super Readers to guide your child through each challenge. These mini-games include Alpha Pig's Alphabet Challenge, Wonder Red's Words Challenge, Princess Presto's Spelling Challenge and Super Why's Reading Challenge. All games are housed in the Super Duper Computer, which your child can personalize by choosing its color. After completing a challenge, your child will earn a super letter. Once she has completed enough challenges to complete a word, she will earn images from the show in her Super Duper Computer! Each challenge also measures your child's accuracy, which is illustrated by the number of gold stars earned in each challenge box. When your child earns five stars, she will earn a Super Readers Challenge certificate that she can print and color! Another feature of this area is that as long as your child uses the same computer, her progress will be stored for future SUPER WHY site visits. Using a simple Internet "cookie," your child's username, Super Duper Computer color, number of gold stars per challenge, super letters, super story words and images she earned will all still be there. This enables her to practice different skills over time. Practice = learning.

EXPLORE STORYBROOK VILLAGE
Your child can explore the magical world of Storybrook Village with Whyatt as his guide. With the click of the mouse, your child can zoom in on a specific location in Storybrook Village, read the name of the location and hear the inside scoop on each place as told by Whyatt.
