Turn everyday chores into a game of chance, and find fun in sharing the work. Materials:
Directions: On the paper or cardboard, list jobs that everyone in the family can do and put the list where everyone can see it. Even a preschooler can help with some household chores, like:
Beside each job, write a number that corresponds to the number on a spinner. Take turns spinning the spinner to assign a job for the week to everyone in the family. Tape the corresponding name tag next to the chore on the chart. Remember that when you praise your children for the work they're doing, you are helping them feel proud of taking on responsibility. Cut a 5" or 6" inch circle or square from cardboard or heavy paper and divide it into sections, writing a number in each section. Make a 3" inch arrow from the leftover cardboard and attach it to the circle using a brass paper fastener. Loosen the arrow if necessary so it spins easily. |
