Show and Tell truck

Do you know how to make an empty milk carton into a truck?

Wash the milk carton and staple the top closed. Attach a piece of heavy string or cord to the closed top. Cut out one of the four side panels.

Now turn the carton on its side to make an open wagon for carrying toys or small stuffed animals. This homemade wagon can even come in handy at clean-up time. If you tie a few together, you've made a train!

Parent TipsWhen children make toys from throwaways around the house, they are actually recycling. One of the best gifts we can give children is the experience of growing up in a family where people use resources wisely. That's a gift that never wears out.
