Being Kind to Ourselves and Others

Thoughts for the Week:

It takes time for children to come to understand that they can affect other people's feelings by being kind or unkind. Adults can help children learn that being kind means trying to understand how other people feel.

Being kind to oneself is something people need to learn early in life, too. Exercising is one way to be kind to our bodies. Taking good care of ourselves is very important. Children learn to take good care of themselves when they know that someone is taking good care of them. As caregivers, you have the great opportunity of showing your kindness through the care you give to children each day.
