The Contest is finished. The stories are in. The writing was fun. Let the judging begin.
A new Reading Rainbow Contest for young writers and illustrators in K-3rd grade will begin again next January. Look for entry details here the beginning of the year. For now, check out other stories submitted from kids like you!
Where is my story? |
Your story is being read by judges. PBS stations have judges read their Contest stories and choose the local winners. Local winners will be contacted by their PBS station. |
What happens next? |
All stations send their first place K, 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade winning stories to the Reading Rainbow Contest headquarters for the National Contest Judging. If you've sent in a story, your PBS station will send you a Reading Rainbow Certificate of Achievement. |
How do I know if I won? |
If your story is a national winner, you'll get a letter from Reading Rainbow Contest headquarters. |
When can I read all the winning stories? |
In July the 12 national winning stories will be posted here. An additional 100+ Contest stories will be posted here in August – so check it out. |
