Q: Dear Theo, what do you like best about school? — Ashley, 8, UNITED STATES
Theo: The best part about school is seeing all of my friends every day. I really like math and science a lot, but hanging out with my buddies Miguel and Andy is a lot of fun.
Q: HI THEO WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MONTH MY FAVORITE IS JULY BECAUSE IT’S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH MY BIRTHDAY IS JULY 1. — Orly, 8, PUERTO RICO
Theo: Hi, Orly! I guess I like December because it’s Christmas. That’s my favorite holiday. It’s also the time of year when I get to see my whole family – my grandparents come to stay with us for a few weeks, and all of my aunts and uncles and cousins come visit too!
Q: Hi Theo did you ever see a jellyfish? I did while we were in Florida. — Kaylee, 11, Canada
Theo: I saw some jellyfish once when I visited an aquarium. They look kind of cool, don’t they? Did you actually see one in the ocean while you were in Florida? I read about jellyfish online with my dad and know that they can sting. I hope you stayed far, far away!
Q: Why do you like school? — Jose, PUERTO RICO
Theo: Dear Jose, I like school because I think it’s fun to read and talk about new stuff. Right now, we’re learning about the human body and parts of the skeleton in Science class, and it’s really interesting. I also like hanging out with my friends everyday, especially Andy and Miguel.
Q: Do you like to read a lot and write too? — Lisa, 7, Utah
Theo: I love to read – science fiction is my favorite at the moment. I read a lot before I go to bed. Sometimes my mom will let me stay up to finish a chapter. I like to write too and am trying to think of a cool science fiction story. Miguel said he’d draw the pictures to go with it, so, together, we’d have a whole book!
Q: Why were you given the name Theo? — Yanired, 11, Puerto Rico
Theo: It’s a family tradition. My dad is named Theo, and my grandfather is too. At Thanksgiving, when someone calls out, “Hey, Theo!” a lot of people turn around!
