Q: Hi Chrissy! What is your favorite animal. Mine is a pig! —Rachel, 8, Idaho
Chrissy: A pig!?! That’s so cute! My favorite animal is a cat (maybe that’s because I have a kitten!). Come to think of it, I also like dogs. And horses. And penguins. And bears. And rabbits. Oh, and pigs too! Gee, I guess I have a lot of favorites!
Q: Are you diabetic? Because I have diabetes type 1. — Camille J., 9, PUERTO RICO
Chrissy: Hi, Camille. No, I’m not diabetic, but my cousin Ana is, so I know what you’re talking about. When Ana first told me she was diabetic, I got a little scared. But Ana listens to her doctors and to her parents, and they help to keep her healthy and feeling good. I hope you are taking good care of yourself and that you feel good too.
Q: Dear Chrissy, I have an annoying little brother. He always bothers me. What do I do? — Genesis, 11, Louisiana
Chrissy: Sometimes little brothers are like that! You can try asking him nicely to stop bothering you, and if that doesn’t work, maybe you could go into another room (and hope that he doesn’t follow you!).
Q: What animals do you like? — Rosa Maria, 12, Mexico
Chrissy: Hi, Rosa Maria! I really like cats (maybe that’s because I have a kitten!). Come to think of it, I also like dogs. And horses. And penguins. And bears. And rabbits. Oh, and pigs too! Gee, I guess I like a lot of different animals! What do you like?
Q: Sometimes my sister blames stuff on me. How can I tell her to stop but not to hurt her feelings? — Cassandra, 9, Arizona
Chrissy: You could try telling your sister how you feel when she blames stuff on you. Explain to her that it makes you sad and hurts your feelings when she says things that aren’t true. Ask her to stop and see what happens. Good luck, Cassandra!
Q: I would like to know if you like math? — Mayli, 14
Chrissy: Math is pretty cool – it’s one of my favorite classes this year. I’m pretty good at it, and when there are things I don’t understand at first (like multiplying fractions), I ask my teacher to explain them again. Maya, Maggie, and I are all in the same class, so that makes math fun too!
