Q: Where would you go if you could travel anywhere?? — Chloe,
Andy: Dear Chloe, If I could travel anywhere in the world, I think I’d go to Paris. I’ve
always wanted to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower (it’s so tall!), and I think it would be great
to learn how to speak French. I tried French food for the first time in a restaurant last year, and it
was really good, so I think it would be fun to eat in Paris too. (But I don’t think that French
fries and French toast count as a meal!)
Q: Do you want to be a basketball player when you grow up? I haven't tried basketball yet, but
I do like playing soccer. My team is called the Black Crows. Did you get to pick your team's name too? — Kalli,
Andy: Dear Kalli, When I grow up, I want to be either a basketball player or a scientist or
a chef – I just can’t decide! Luckily, I have a lot of time to make up my mind! We took a
vote at the Community Center to pick our basketball team’s name for this season. We’re calling
ourselves The Hoops!
Q: Dear Andy, the day you met Maya & Miguel, how did you feel? — GENESIS, 8
Andy: Dear Genesis, When I first met Maya and Miguel, I was a little nervous and a little excited.
I was nervous because it’s not easy making new friends in a new neighborhood. But I was also excited
and happy because they were very nice and made me feel at home right away.
Q: what do you do for christmas do you celebrate a differant holiday — sean, 6, Colorado
Andy: I do celebrate Christmas (it’s one of my very favorite holidays!). Every year, we
have a big family dinner on Christmas Eve, and after we eat, everybody’s allowed to open one present.
I also go with my parents and our neighbors to the lighting of the huge Christmas tree in town. There
are tons of lights and singing and even hot chocolate – it’s the best!
Q: what are your hobbies? — Matthew, 9, CANADA
Andy: My favorite hobby is basketball – I’ve been playing ever since I can remember.
Soccer is cool too. Miguel has been teaching me some of his moves, and I think I’m getting better
and better. And my grandpa got me into a new hobby this year. He collects really old coins from far away
places, and I’ve started my own collection too. He even gave me a coin from France to get started!
Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE THAT YOU’VE VISTED? — Jessica, 15, Puerto Rico
Andy: Dear Jessica, I’d have to say that my favorite place right now is Florida. My family
went there last year to visit my grandfather, and we had a really great time. Can you believe that it
was sunny almost every day? We hung out at the beach, went swimming and even played volleyball in the
sand! Florida is such a fun place to visit!
