Andy answers your questions
Q: When you first moved to the neighborhood did you feel shy? — Stephanie, 9, Maryland

Andy:  Dear Stephanie, When I first moved to the neighborhood I was more nervous than shy.  I was afraid that I wouldn’t make any friends, but the day I arrived, Maya and Miguel appeared on my doorstep.  They introduced me to Theo, Maggie, Chrissy, and Tito.  All of a sudden, I had all these new friends.  My nervousness passed.  I feel very lucky that I met Maya and Miguel.

Q: Andy how did you feel when Maya was playing the trombone and you started to cry? — Jonathan, 12, Iowa

Andy:
Dear Jonathan, I was just teasing Maya by pretending to cry – I wasn’t really upset! I thought that Maya felt sorry for me because I have one arm. She was just trying to be a good friend by making sure my feelings weren’t hurt, but I wanted to let her know that there is no need to protect me! I can do just about everything anyone else can, but sometimes in my own way!

Q: Are you a vegetarian? — Paul, 12, New York

Andy:
Dear Paul, I’m not a vegetarian. Some of my favorite foods are hamburgers and chicken! But my aunt is a vegetarian – she makes an awesome vegetable lasagna!

Q: DO YOU KNOW ANY MAGIC TRICKS? I DO IN A MATTER OF FACT I KNOW 14 MAGIC TRICKS. — SARA, 9, UNITED STATES

Andy:
Dear Sara, You sure do know a lot of magic! I actually have a few tricks up my sleeve too. My dad taught me two different card tricks, and my cousin showed me how to make it look like I’m pulling a quarter out of someone’s ear! But my best magic trick of all is making dessert disappear after dinner!

Q: Andy how did you and Theo come friends? Tell me the story. — CAMILLE, 8, Pennsylvania

Andy:
Dear Camille, Maya and Miguel were the first people I met when I moved into the neighborhood. They introduced me to all of their friends – so that’s how I first met Theo. Then Theo and I started hanging out. We realized that we both like playing basketball, reading comic books and listening to music. We’re also in the same class at school, so we get to spend lots of time together. Theo is one of my very best friends ever!

Q: ANDY, MAYA and miguel, you are all good friends, but my question is: have you guys ever fought? — yilda, 10, United States

Andy:
Dear Yilda, Sure, we occasionally have fights – like all good friends do! We sometimes disagree about things or get angry with each other, but it never lasts very long. We make up pretty quickly and go back to being best buddies. Before long, we all forget what the fight was about in the first place!
