Homemade oatmeal topped with fresh fruit is a perfect way to start your day!
• ⅔ cup steel cut oats
• 2 ½-2 ⅔ cup water
• 1 cup chopped strawberries
• 2 teaspoons maple syrup
1. Place the oatmeal and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Decrease the heat to low and cook until the oatmeal has absorbed all of the water and is tender, about 20 minutes. Divide the oatmeal between two bowls, and top each with half of the fruit and maple syrup. Serve immediately.
