Everyone loves apples, so who does not like apple sauce? This is a quick and tasty snack.
• 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, and cut into small chunks
• ½ cup water
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or more to taste
Bring all the ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook until the apples are tender, about 30 minutes. Place the apple mixture in a food processor and process until smooth. (For a chunkier sauce, mash with a fork, whisk, or potato masher.) Serve warm or refrigerate until cold.
