Here are some words and concepts that will be covered in Lesson Six of the downloadable Lesson Guide (267K PDF file).
Decide: to make up one's mind; to make a decision
- Note that "decision" is the thing that you decide, while "decide" is the action.
A good deal: an agreement to buy something at a cheap price, or to swap one thing for another that is worth as much or more than the item that you are exchanging
- A good deal can also mean "a lot," or "a large amount."
Pond: a small body of water
- A variety of things can found in a pond, such as water, frogs, tadpoles, ducks, fish, insects, lily pads and other plants.
Boring: dull or not interesting
- The opposite is "interesting."
- Each person finds different things boring or interesting.
Diving board: a board from which people can dive or jump into a body of water
- Some dives and jumps are a pike, flip, cannonball, belly flop, twirl, and cartwheel.
