And so I can be able to go outside, I try to pay attention in class so I can finish my homework fast. Chores are always hard, so right when Im done doing them, I go right outside. But I make sure to do it right so I wont go back in. I stay outside till 8:00 or 8: 30, so that gives me 1hr or 30min to watch TV, cuz I sleep at 9:00. Then another day comes and the day repeats.

Sometimes I feel that things are too tough, but I have plans. Homework, for instance, I'll set up a good study place and give myself a time limit to finish each assignment. I think this is a great idea for anyone to do. I did it in 6th grade, my final year at Elementary school, and I'll be doing the same in Junior High. Oh, and I also like to keep my study place neat and organized! Just try to concentrate on school work or band practice or whatever it is, and it'll come more naturally to you and then time won't feel like it's being wasted!

Ah, Juliet, my big sis, one thing: people hate filling out planners. It's just the way it is! I only do when I have A LOT of things due the next day or that week. There is always enough time. Its all about putting in order the things that are the most important. Try setting a schedule with what is due first during the week. Do one assignment for an hour and then move on to another one. Or you can order it by the ones that you know will take up the most time first, and then finish your work off with the less time consuming ones...

PLEASE READ PLEASE READ PLEASE READ! For those of u who r in 5 days a week schools or elementary schoolu got it easy!!! What do u have for homework? A paper in math, science, and Language arts? In my schools its only TWO DAYS A WEEK and they give us a whole page full of assignments!!! In every class! In Grammar I have to write a paper, finish a packet, and do a test. In Literature I have to do a 3 page packet and read 2 chapters in Robin Hood. In science I have to read 2 chapters and answer 7 questions. In Math I have exactly 46 measuring problems to do! NO JOKE. In History I have to write a page report (with out skipping lines!!!! ). I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR ANYTHING! I always have lots of time in the winter, because there aren't many sports I can join in my town then. However, it gets really hectic during the beginning and end of the year. In fact, during the Softball season, it's a treat for me to have enough time to just sit down and watch The Naked Brothers Band!!!! Recess is way too short. Unfortunately, school is like a JOB for me. I have two hours of homework for my eight classes, and I hate it sometimes. Projects are also big, and I have little time to do them with all of the other projects eight teachers assign me with homework too, and there is also a super short dead line, so I have three hours of homework a night. I have to start as soon as I get home to finish it all by dinner. I don't have much time to play outside or do anything fun before dinner anymore, but I have to manage my homework and my time. So I leave the TV for after dinner and call my friends after dinner so I can relax...

The easier thing to do is- if you have something to do after school like a sport, after you finish that you come straight home and do homework. (Only exceptions if you DONT HAVE HOMEWORK or you're super hungry and need something to eat) If you have a lot of homework, take a break every 15 minutes and avoid distractions. Turn off the TV, pull the blinds down, and concentrate. Also, it would help a lot if you're organized so you can just pull out whatever you need AND KNOW WHERE IT IS.

Well heh on weekdays, Im TOTALLY BOOKED! But on the weekends yeah, Im pretty free. I think the most efficient way is to do your homework as soon as you get home or when you get the chance. But with me I have organize my time carefully, not hehehehe, since I have these to keep up- A average, Decathlon, Concert Chorus, and Altar Serving, which are all very time consuming. It wasn't until my freshman year of high school, until I found out how effective a planner was, now in my 2nd year of high school I use my planner and calendar everyday to jot down important projects, homework, tests, etc. To keep on track with all of my assignments so I hope this helps...

I never have enough time during periods to go to the bathroom, so I need to work on that. Oh hi! This is a story about my teacher hates me but it's full, so IML just please post it. Well Im in the 6th grade and my teacher is a little bit like a racist. First thing, it all started two day's after school began and it was my birthday (kinda) , and the teacher just ignored me, and a other girl didn't even tell the teacher it was her birthday and the teacher told the class everybody sing happy birthday to the girl. I think that procrastination is my biggest problem in completing homework without stress. On the days when I have a lot of homework, I start it when I get home from school, and I usually finish it at a reasonable time. On the days with little homework, I watch TV or go on the computer or something like that before I start my homework because I think that I will have time to do it later. That doesn't turn out well though, because I end up doing the homework late at night instead of just getting it done early and then watching TV after I am finished with my homework. So, by making priorities, you can lower the level of stress in your life. Homework is more important than watching TV because grades are what will help you later on, not that episode on TV. If you complete what is important first, then you will have time later to do other things.

"My Tuesday goes pretty much like this: go to vocal ensemble (7:15 AM), go to a Committee Meeting for Student Council (8:00 AM), go to school until 3:00 PM, go home and do homework for another 6 hours or so until 9:00 PM, my bedtime. Take all of that and top it off with a voice lesson around 5 PM, and what do you get? STRESS. I also have a few other priorities: practicing voice/piano, guitar, and working on my 3 projects for school. Although I work for more than 3 or 4 hours per day on homework, I still get stuck with six hours of projects per day on the weekend. I have no time for fun. I used to love to write (and still do), but now I can't fit in the time to do that anymore. I don't learn anything from a lot of this work, and I don't have time to be a kid. When my mom was a kid, she had time to do a lot of things because her schedule wasn't so mashed-up. That's not to say that she didn't have to do as much homework -- she probably did -- but she didn't have as many activities in her life. To manage my time well, each day, I write down all of my priorities in my planner, then I do what I need to get done first. For those of you who are as stressed as I am, my advice is to take a 15-minute break after every hour you work on homework, practice, etc. It works 99% of the time!"

"OMG!!!!! Now that my mom has a hectic schedule, my life has collapsed. If there is one lost homework assignment she will FLIP OUT. I don't have time to talk to my friends on the phone (unless my dad is with me and my mom isn't), because for some reason she makes me spend loads of time on revising HW. When I was sick, and on the weekend I spent about 6 HOURS A DAY on revising my homework assignment where you are supposed to write about a book you are assigned to read by answering the questions on the packet. My answer was about 20 TIMES longer than what the other kids wrote. It's just not fair because another kid wrote HALF of what my mom called You just want to get it over with. That really ticked me off because I am good at every subject besides writing. Instead of focusing on what I do do, my mom focuses on what I don't do. When I went grocery shopping with my dad we got everything but two things. There was a flip-out. I sometimes even have to EAT DINNER while doing my homework. Except on weekends, I have practically no free time until my HW is finished. In this household there is only perfect and bad. 100% Good. 99% flip-out."

S., so my mom has to pay for SOME of the stuff, but I keep on feeling guilty about how I am wasting the money. But then again, this is going to look really good on my high school application. I tried counseling at school. I don't go that often but I do go when I am feeling sad or angry about something. I just wish that I was either much faster at doing things or the days would be much longer. I want to be a normal, smart, and successful student and live a good life. I guess things are harder to achieve then they look."

"No, my mom is sooo strict about extracurricular activities (I have 3, 1 voluntary, 2 involuntary -- 1 of which I do NOT need). We have 30 min. recess but we have to clean up and inspect the room and we have to answer a math question to line up (EACH INDIVDUAL) so we only get about 20 min. (of recess), and we only get about 20 min. lunch. Oh and by the way, Shelby (10) in 3rd grade (now Im in 4th, thank God): we only got 15 min. lunch (1 time we only got 10 min. (for lunch)). :(."

"Just do your homework first. Get as much of it done at school as you possibly can. Don't procrastinate. Get your homework done as soon as you can, and you'll have time to do all the other stuff you want to. I just finished a book report, and it took an hour!!! I still have 2 more book reports to do. And a social studies project, science notes to take, math project, math extra credit thing, and I have to read part of Romeo and Juliet. I have so much homework!!! Do all the things that you think will take the longest first, and all of the more simple stuff after that."

Im a freshman in honors classes, I run track, Im president of Student Council and Im in a few other clubs too. Sometimes I worry that I won't have enough time to do everything, but I always do and I go to bed by 10 every night. You just have to do stuff ahead of time, like start studying for a test on Wednesday over the weekend. Maybe go out on Friday and study some Saturday, then go out Saturday evening, and study more on Sunday. See? School, sports, clubs, and friends all fit!"

Heres some advice: stay organized, try to keep your schedule together, and try not to be late. I myself am starting to come on time. Sometimes I come early, but if I come late three more times my attendance card will be full. Then I will really get in trouble. They said they werent making any more attendance cards. Oh boy, I wont be able to go on the family trip to Disneyland. Ill stay in New York with Auntie Brenda. Ahhh!"

"Hi guys. To be honest with all of you, no! There just are not enough hours in a day to do reluctantly 30 min. Each day of extra math, make my lunch for the next day, do between an hour or two of regular homework, baby-sit two kids 3 and 5 between 30 min and 3 hours a day, *talk on the phone to my BF's*( LOL), and eat dinner all in the 6 hours I have left over after school!!!! I have NO idea though how I can manage my time better though 'cause I am not sure how long everything will take!"
