Here's what other kids had to say:

"I'm in fifth class and I'm on my summer holidays I'm going into sixth class in fifth class I would get at least 5 hours and I'm getting the same teacher she actually is really mean like she says I will give you 3 minutes to get a page of maths and if you don't get it done you have to do it for homework and the class next store to me in fifth class only gets 40 minutes homework."
--Anonymous

"I have a lot of homework during the days. It takes me about 2-3 hours to finish up...Thank Goodness It's Summer! TGIS!" --China L, 12

"My time management couldn't be better! I'm homeschooled so my schoolwork takes like 2 1/2 hours, and the rest of my time is whatever I want. Then I go to sleep at 2: 30 AM. Yeah!" --Hayley, 10

"I think I could by having a list. Then when you are done go play if you don't like what you are doing like chores make a game at it."
--Maddi, 8

"I actually got an award for using my time wisely...I'm not bragging, just stating. I have times when I can't fit everything I'd like to do in one day, so I don't make an exact schedule for every day. Then I'd get stressed."
--Tara, 11

"I'm pretty organized with my time, I do things and chores before later so I can do my activities, Here's my schedule (not daily) : Morning-School. 10:00 AM-School. 12:00 Lunchtime at school. 2: 12: After School. 2: 30 (or when I get home) : Homework. 3:00: T. V or computer. 3: 30-Library (sometimes). 5:00-I play outside. 6:00: Invite my friend over. 8:00: I wait for my dad to get home. 9: 30: Time for bed."
--Priscila, 9

"Do you think 4 days of schooling is better than 5 days? would I still get a good education?"
--Dee, 10

"NO! I'm constantly reading a new book instead of homework so my parents take it away and the Internet. I'm addicted to books and I need to stop! I'm the opposite of most kids."
--Rose, 12

"I am so good with managing time. Usually other people at my school don't get their work done because they talk too much during class."
--Faizah, 12

"I am a straight A student, most of the time. But I am very very very busy because I take dance lessons 4 times a week (7 classes) plus competition dance. I play the guitar and have the strictest teacher, and I play the piano. Ugh! It's too much, I have a big plan for my future, so I try to deal with it, but I need help managing with school. How?"
--Val, 12

"It's hard for me too keep everything up on time because there are many things to do my dad told me to keep my chores and homework written down somewhere so I will not forget" --Coby, 13

"I prefer to do my homework for a set hour right after school is over, from 3:15 to about 4:15 or sometimes 4: 45. I don't mind doing homework and managing my time like this. It is much easier to manage your time by getting things completed. Avoid procrastinating, because when you reach Middle school and High school, that will truly drag you down. It may seem like a great idea to put off a project and watch a new MTV or VH1 show, but it won't seem like it a week later when you have nothing to hand in."
--Alexa, 13

"No I don't I always try to be on time but I don't how about you guys hit up back up."
--Raquel

"I am in middle school and I have nearly 3 hours of homework every night. Plus a lot of it is just useful filler work. If I has less homework I could use it by exercising, seeing friends, helping out around the house, playing with my dog and other things like so. And since there is so much home work, kids barley have enough time to exercise which is linked with the obesity rates in the United Sates."
--Maddie

"Not really...Our school's divided into 'A' and 'B' days. On 'A' days, I have two study halls (which is perfect for me to finish work). On 'B' days, I have gym and chorus to replace those study halls. That means on 'B' days, the only way to finish homework is staying after school. It's quite unfair, and I wish they'd give us more time to do work."
--Pie, 12

"I think that school is just right how it is. Just that if we could have more free time at school because it is very difficult for us the students when the teachers leave us a lot of things to do."
--Yarely, 12

"I think that school gives out to much homework because we have homework 98% of the time at school even over the weekend, breaks, and holiday, so most of the time you don't get to do all the things you wont to do when your off or during the week."
--Jordan, 12

"Yup! I am on time for just about everything. I think so anyway! :)."
--Alison, 9

"My school start at 8:00 am and ends at 3:00pm. I do ELD, language arts, recess, language arts, lunch, math, last recess, and finish math. I like this girl Bernidet. I don't have time for that. I like her, and she likes me. She won't say she likes me. What should I do?"
--Ricky, 9

"Homework takes too long, I'd much rather play outside with my dog or ride my dirt bike."
--Patrick, 12

"Kimmai, 10: Omosh, that isn't even bad............I would LOVE to have the amount of homework you have. I have like no time at all. I have no days of the week where I can just relax the whole day! UGH! I HATE IT! I am in 7th grade, and trust me, it is a lot harder than they grade you are in!"
--Laura, 13

"I never have enough time just to be myself. I'm always rushing around doing schoolwork and extracurricular activities, when I'd rather play sports and hang with friends."
--Mac, 12

"I feel that I don't have enough time to do anything. First get home from school and do homework for about 2 hours because of too much homework. Then we occasionally get too many projects to do on weekends or vacation. Why do we have a weekend or a vacation if we still have schoolwork to do!"
--M&M, 12

"My journey to the school till now from one class to six class."
--Maryam, 11

"I have a lot of time but sometimes I waste it instead of doing homework I play on my computer. Everyone says to use time wisely but I don't know how to. Does anyone have some advice?"
--Nur, 11

"I'm really bad at time management because I am the MASTER PROCRASTINATOR OF THE UNIVERSE. I always turn things in on time, but only after an evening of extreme stress."
--Audrey

"I never have enough time for anything! I do swim team (2. 5 hr practices) 6-7 times per week! I only have about an hour after school to get my work done, so I'm often up late doing hw. UG!"
--Joanne

"TIME is bad! Fcat only gives you 80 minutes to do a very long test. Evil."
--IHATETHATTIME!

"I think I never have much time to do work at school. My teacher, Mrs. Strange, she only gives us 10 minutes to do a very long test! I always turn my work in, like seconds before it is due! I have to basically run to the tray, and I have to put my paper in ABC Order."
--Amanda, 9

"I don't do anything after school but homework and violin, but I never have time to myself. All my friends never practice their instruments or take time on their homework, and I'm left to watch them walk by laughing with the rest of our friends to get candy and skateboard and "Hang out." No wonder I have so few friends!"
--Anonymous

"Never. We always have at least one research paper going; at this point we have two, and a slideshow. Tests, Quizzes, I have to babysit and so HW. Time is...Never Enough."
--Jess

"Too much homework! It's already 1:00 pm and I'm still up! Grrrr!"
--Tigsy, 10

"In fifth grade, I get a lot of homework that I only had a little bit of time to relax. I did my homework until 8:00 P. M. I wish that we could only have 1 page of homework. That way I would have more free time. But in fifth grade, we have 4 or 5 pages of homework. I didn't even have more free time."
--Kimmai, 10

"I try to finish all my homework in class or in 4th period study hall...Then, during 6th period, I go to the library with my friends and have fun! Unfortunately, every other day I have chorus. I usually skip it. :)."
--Pie, 12

"School would be a lot easier if they made it fun instead of not giving us so much homework."
--Sarah, 12

"I think I can stay up longer doing my homework, stay focused in class, take lots of notes, get a tutor, and get help from a teacher." --Olivia

"I have to practice violin and piano. And I have to study. I can get mad."
--Anonymous

"Hi, I'd like to know if there's a daily planner online for me thank you in advance."
--Michele

"I plan it all out. I eat when I get home from school, then DO MY HOMEWORK and then watch TV and play. I don't always have time but a lot of times I do work it out."
--Ashley, 11

"Yeah I'm not in that much stuff so I have free time I finish HW at school!"
--Ellyn, 12

"I operate on Yulia time, I have no time perception at all."
--Yulia, 13

"I usually zone out and think about other things when I should be doing my homework. Because of that, I end up staying up until 11 PM. If I could be more focused and motivated, I'd have more time to do important stuff."."
--Nancy, 13

"Yes, I think I do have enough time to do my homework and still have a social life, but I have to admit, sometimes it is hard to get down to business when I'm having fun, but I know it's for the best, and besides, if I don't, then I get yelled @ by ms. Messina, and I get an f for the daily participation. That's why so many kids are failing her class..."
--Cavalier_fan1392, 13

"No way! Too much HW...And not enuf time to hang out with friends."
--Natalie, 13

--Grace, 11

"I have to go to bed early to get up early. If I don't I won't have enough time to do my morning work!"
--Janell, 10

"I never have time to do anything because I constantly am getting too much Homework! I'm up to Midnight each night (at least! ) trying to finish off last minute homework. It doesn't help I do lots of after school clubs, though I have quitted some. Most of the time we haven't even covered what we have to do for homework in the lessons! I am always tired, but there's nothing I can do about it because of all my homework!"
--Robyn, 12

"Lots of homework and no time to call my friend. That gets me mad."
--Lauren

"Early to bed early to rise! I go to bed pretty early, and I wake up pretty early. I've never missed my bus because I budget my time. In the morning, if you don't like to wake up right away and you hit the snooze button a lot, set your alarm clock for an earlier time so you can still hit snooze a lot and be ready. If you miss your bus a lot or are late for school, just set your alarm earlier. If you get tired in school and fall asleep in class, you should go to bed earlier. Early bedtimes don't really matter--It's being happy and enjoying your life."
--Ciera, 11

So when I get home, I have like 3 hours of homework, and since I can't talk to my friends because of my homework schedule, I always have to text and call them, WHILE I'm doing my homework and my chores and stuff! I just can't take anymore of this! --LUCIA!, 12

Then, I get my schoolwork done (I'm homeschooled). Then I take a shower (if needed) and then get my chores done by 3:00 p. M. Then I do stuff like go on here, watch TV, play outside, write, or call friends. I always get my things done. Sounds like an Amish person's life, huh? Well, it isn't. I'm not Amish, like I said in 'They Want me to be Different'. PBS might not have posted it. They never post MY responses. Never ever ever. Maybe that's ''cause they are so long. But I just like to type, okay? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE post this response. I work so hard at them. Thanks. Bye."

--Anonymous

"I have enough time right now, but once December rolls around, I am in BIG trouble. I am doing a Christmas musical with a theater company, and I have a performance every night in December, from 7:00-10:00. My teacher gives tons of homework, too. I don't know how I will be able to pull it off."

I'm trying to be better at this whole time-management-thing, but it's not really for me. I wish schedules revolved around me."
--Julia, 11

"I never have any time to do any stuff for me. I am always crammed with homework, soccer, and music! I wish I could slow down time!!!!!!!!!!!"
--Emma, 13

"Hey, man. I so totally always procrastinate and never get work done. How can I be better at this?"
--Ian, 13

"No. I don't have any time like at all!! I go2 school like at 7am and get out of school at 2:15pm. Then I go2 drama club, which is fun, but then I leave drama club at 5 or 6pm. After that I wait till we get home and then we go and eat/make dinner. By the time that happens it's 8 or 7pm. I need to have better time management!! HELP!!!" "OMG! NO! I barely have time to think and breathe because I do too much dance. But I love it so much that I can't cut anything back. I can't keep away from distractions, I'm enjoying too much and not focusing enough. I always prioritize the want to's, not my goals. Uggh. I'm so ashamed of myself."
--Kim

"I feel I don't even have time to have fun. I have school, I go to my friends house after school (everyday), and I have to shower, do homework, eat dinner and sleep. Gosh, I really want time to do fun stuff. Do you have any advice?"

"It seems like I don't have enough time every day. I have to do my homework, then practice piano, then I surf the net, then I have to read. I need to figure out how to manage my time more."
--Lilly, 12

"I have dance school on Friday night and I am to busy in the afternoon getting ready. Saturday I also have dance in the morning. Sunday I have church. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I can only do homework in my very small free time or do my homework at recess when I just get inside. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME?"
--Enya, 10

"No, I don't think we at all have enough time to do anything. For one, I take a nap after skool for 1hr. Later my mom is going to work and my sis needs to be picked up from soccer. Then I gotta do my homework. It's all so confusing."
--Heather

"I feel like I have no time for myself barely anymore...Sure...7th grade isn't that hard. But you get so much more homework! It drives me nuts! I'm starting to get used to it though."
--Laura, 12

"No, I really feel that I have enough time to do all the things I have and I want to do. I'm so busy doing my homework, requirements and many more. I think I can manage my time better if I will do in advance some of my requirements."
--Abigail

"I barely have time to just chill with my friends, because I'm studying, doing homework, or at practice every day from 6:00 at night to 7:00. I just want to relax every once and again. Is that so much to ask for!?!?"
--Mackenzie, 12

"7th grade was easy. Why are you complaining?"
--Emmanuella

"I have long school days and I do sports three days a week. My school enjoys giving the students tons of homework, so it feels like every day I have a mountain of stuff to do and that mountain keeps getting bigger. I hardly ever have time to hang with my friends because I am always working. I don't even have time to daydream anymore! =P."
--Johanna

“I don't have enough time because my teachers gave me a ton of projects that are due on Thursday and Friday...And my aunt and g-ma are here and I’m going to New York tomorrow. So I don't know if I'll have enough time. But I'll try.”
--Sorrowheart, 11

“I don't have enough time because we go to the store like 30 days I go! Do you like that? when you was me, if I was you, I might like it.”
--Nyasia, 13

“Kids going into middle school, watch out!! I’m already in my second year of middle school (7th grade), so I’m pretty used to the whole thing now, but it was definitely tough! I’m on the volleyball team for my school, I’m on a cheerleading team outside of school, and I’m also on the yearbook staff for my school, so it gets kinda hard to manage my time so that I still have time to do stuff like watch TV and things like that. But you get used to it I guess. I’m in all advanced classes too, which means hours and hours of homework!! UGH I hate homework!!! I did three hours of hw today, but usually I have more than I did today. I got lucky! : ) Well, I’m sure I could do better with my time management, but the problem is...I don’t have time to manage my time!!!! To all of you people out there who sit around doing nothing: I WISH I were you right now!”
--Abbey, 12

"I am at school from 8 to 3, and I am involved in every sixth grade organization and activity that elementary school has to offer! There are so many things to do all the time!"
--Anonymous

"I have never got too much time for some sqeezy peassy's. : (."
--Tara

"Im in 7th grade, so I have a bunch of homework sometimes. I do everything as soon as I get home, and then I have the rest of the time to chill. If you put your mind to it, and organize yourself, you can accomplish lots of things really fast."
--Katie, 12

I don't have enough time because I am in school from 8 o'clock to 4. 20. After that I have schoolwork and I can't concentrate because of my headaches. I have also extra lessons on Saturdays. I think that I should carry books everywhere.
--Emanuella

How I manage my time better is doing my eating first, then do my homework, and then I have time for myself.
--Vanessa, 10

No, I really dont, since at school we have - I mean really have- to stay until 3, not 2: 20 anymore. I really dont have time. I have to wake up at 6:00, which I dont, and sleep in for 44 ext. min, and HAVE be there by 8. WOOOOOOOOOOOOW. 7TH GRADE IS SOOOOOOO HARD!!!
--Erika*, 12

"I'm in middle school, so we can choose to stay after school. I prefer to spend most of my time at home on Neopets, so I finish my homework in study hall and activity period. LOL."
--Courtney, 11

"Now, I have to wake up at 5:00 in the morning because I have to be there at 6:16 for the bus stop. I like my old time better."
--Lilly5210, 13

"Well, I manage time fine. If there is a lot of homework, I do it right away. If there is only one, I do it later."
--Vidula, 8

"Yeah, pretty much. The way I do it is I get up at 6 am and I go to school at 8, and I get home around 3: 30. Then I do my homework, which takes about 1/2 hr. And I watch my fave TV show at 4. Then I pretty much have free time from 4: 30-6: 30, so I usually hang out with my friends or practice piano or oboe. And then I get dinner at 6: 30. I take a shower at 7. Then I can do whatever I want, but it has to be inside, until 8: 30, which is when I get in bed and read until 9. I have piano on Mondays, dance on Saturday, and Girl Scouts on Wednesdays. But those only cut into my free time, so I don't really care..."
--Grace, 10

"I am the bomb. I make it to all of my classes on time. So kids starting junior high, watch out and keep up."
--Tyler, 12

"Yes. I keep up with all time, no matter what. I'm the bestest at stayin' on track, so watch out."
--Hollie, 10

"Get a day planner and write down study time and activities on it, and update it weekly for schedule changes."
--Lydia, 11

"I have to wake up at 5: 20 becuz my bus stop is at 6: 36, and you have to be ten min early! I have no idea how to do it!"
--Lilly5210, 13

"After school I have Soccer at 4:00-5:00. Then I have dance from 6:30-7:00. But I never have any time to watch TV."
--Emily, 10

"Well, I think that if you had a shorter breakfast, and you take your showers before you go to bed at night, that would save some time. Also, if you got your clothes and school things together at night, you could have more time to get ready. Especially if you double check for your homework and binders and what not, you can go to school on time."
--Kamaryanna, 10

"Hisgirl- I think that you should bring all of your morning class's binders and books with you so you don't have to go to your locker. Same with your afternoon classes!"
--Sarah, 12

"When I moved, I still had to go to school in Pembroke, even though I had to come all the way from Carvar to get there. That took a long time: a half an hour. But other than that, never."
--Madison, 8

"For some reason when someone picks me up for a party or something, I'm always late. But when I want to do something that I didn't really plan, I'm on time. I really wonder why."
--Lilly5210, 13

"No, I never have time to do all the things I have to do, because I get up at 6:30am to get ready for school. At 7:30 I have to go outside and wait for my bus. School finishes at 3: 25pm, but my bus is always late, so I get home at 4: 30pm. Then it depends how much homework I have, which will probably last for an hour if I don't have too much. Then I get my dinner at 5:30pm, and after that I look after my little sister until my mum goes out for a few groceries (which I don't mind that much because I get to spend time with my little sister). At about 6pm my mum comes back and then I have to try and practice my flute. And I have many interruptions because my friends call and ask me if I want to go out. So I talk to them a while, since I'm not allowed out until I finish all my homework. And by the time I get a shower, etc., it's about 9pm and barely anyone is outside!! And just before school ended, I had to give up my flute that I played for my school so I could spend more time with my friends. And I wish I didn't have to make that choice, because I loved playing it! For once I just wish that time was on my side and would let me fit more things into my life!! Xxxx."
--Miley, 13

"I wish I had more time to hang out with my friends and act just like a normal kid, not a college student."
--Jordan, 12

I just have to follow my schedule. If I don't follow it, then I just replace my fun time with practicing the piano or helping out with the family.
--Caroline, 11

I sometimes think I don't have enough time to do what I have and want to do. My school is so stressing. They give us a lot of homework and projects. I go to school 7: 30-1: 30, I get home and eat, do the homeworks, then study, play the violin, see TV (if I have time), go to the computer (I sometimes see TV and sometimes play in the computer), get a small dinner, do something else and get to sleep. I get three baths one when I come from school and one before go to sleep and one in the morning. The Fridays are different. And I MAKE A SCHEDULE BUT IT DOESN'T WORK. I have to change it all the days because of the homeworks. PLEASE HELP ME WITH HOMEWORKS!!!
--Nathy, 12

Middle School starts in two weeks and Im not sure if I am going to be able to handle it.
--Maddie, 12

No, sometimes I don't. And I KNOW I won't have enough time in middle school. Bcuz I'll be in Chorus, Basketball, and I might try out for Kickboxing classes at the local gymnastics place. Talk about having NO time whatsoever.
--GeoBWinner, 11

So I dont go late to school, I wake up early, make sure to sleep early, so I wont be sleepy. If I am, I just put cold water on my face. And so I can be able to go outside, I try to pay attention in class so I can finish my homework fast. Chores are always hard, so right when Im done doing them, I go right outside. But I make sure to do it right so I wont go back in. I stay outside till 8:00 or 8: 30, so that gives me 1hr or 30min to watch TV, cuz I sleep at 9:00. Then another day comes and the day repeats.
--Eloisa, 11

I try to organize things, so that it works, but my brothers are always extremely busy after school, so sharing one ride is hard. Nobody can take me to extra activities since the car is always on the move after school. I wish time was on my side instead of my brother's...
_Roxy_, 10

It's really good.
--Liam, 8

I have enough time for everything...1. Go to school-7: 30. 2. Go to basketball practice-3:00. 3. Do my homework-4:00. 4. Hang out with friends-4: 30. 5. Eat dinner-6:00. 6. Go to this website-6: 30. 7. E-mail my friends-7: 30. 8. Practice clarinet-8:00. 9. Watch T. V. -8: 45. 10. Go to bed-10:00.
--Paula, 13

I tried making a schedule but it still doesn't work. PLEASE HELP. The time is just an ugly goblin blocking my way to get past and do more things. The goblin makes nighttime so that we can't do more stuff in a day, and he says You can't do too much in a day, can you? Can you help me fight that goblin? ^I^.
--Cococnut, 9

Verona, 12: just slow down. You can go to bed early, like 8-10. No TV. Listen soft music, and just take it easy.
--Akgirl18

I usually go to bed earlier, eat a better breakfast than cereal in the morning, and do last-minute study sessions, sometimes with my friends.
--Anna, 12

Sometimes I feel that things are too tough, but I have plans. Homework, for instance, I'll set up a good study place and give myself a time limit to finish each assignment. I think this is a great idea for anyone to do. I did it in 6th grade, my final year at Elementary school, and I'll be doing the same in Junior High. Oh, and I also like to keep my study place neat and organized! Just try to concentrate on school work or band practice or whatever it is, and it'll come more naturally to you and then time won't feel like it's being wasted!
--Anna, 12

No, Im always in a hurry to get to class so I wont be late...
--Person, 12

I feel like most of the time I have enough time to do the things I wanna do. I know how to manage my time pretty good!! *time = $$$$$$.
--Tiffany, 12

First of all, school takes up A LOT of time. Then, I have homework and piano practice. Shouldn't there be time for LIFE??
--Jocelyn, 9

Not really. I think I have enough time to do what I want. Some times I have all the time I want, other times I have too much time. It just gets so boring. I wish I was busier. But again being busy is also is not fun. So Im good. ~{_+.
--Lilly 5210, 12

"sometimes I feel that I have to make an appropriate schedule. So I can spend time with my friends and then still have time for more important things, like work and other things.
--Deja d4l

My mom says I should be a time manager, I guess, because I manage my time very well. My schedule is packed, but in the end, I get everything done. What I could do better though, is get up earlier so I have some free time.
--Joanne, 10

I plan ahead. Agenda's really work. I am not trying to sound like a perfectionist.
--Anna, 13

I dance every single week day so I do not have enough time to play with friends I am also in competition dance so I have to go to competitions!!
--Abbie, 11

Yes. I have TOO much free time. That's not good but having NO free time is also bad. Neither side wins. Done. : ).
--Me, 10

I have a lot of homework sometimes. And have to study a lot. So I really don't have time just for me. I can't even watch TV. My mother always gets so mad at me if I don't study. Studying can be so boring sometimes. I really hate studying!
--Lea, 11

Well, my dad makes me get up at 6:30 in the morning, so then Im grumpy later in the day. That makes it so Im late for everything. I could manage my time better if I get more SLEEP!!!!!!!
--Karissa, 11

Yes, I do. Even though I am VERY busy most of the time, I think that I have time for everything that is in my schedule. I think that I could manage my time better by being a little quicker by getting ready for my schedule faster and being a little quicker and on time! (oops! Lol. ).
--BusyGirl123

Sometimes I dont have enough time to do my things. But that is because I dance, cheerlead, and I also have a life. I like to hang out with my friends and do other things, but with all the homework I get I sometimes I cant get enough sleep with everything that I do.
--Alyssa

No. I dont think that I have a lot of time because during the school year I have usually a lot of homework and it stinks. : /.
--: ]

I never have anytime to just hang out. My parents want me to do anything for extra credit, so Im always doing stuff for school. Im always cramming stuff for writing prompts, pop quizzes, and having to deal with a thing called fizz. I need organization help so I have more time for friends, sports, and family.
--Sabrina, 11

I need to get time management skills >. < Im so bad seriously and its gonna kill me in high school : |. Grr. The thing is we all get the same amount of time and how you use it will determine how far you get or what you accomplish cause time is always running out.
--Meme, 13

I think you should do what youre supposed to, but do it the right way or you have to do it again. How do you do the things that you have to do?
--Kelly, 11

I never have enough time to even breathe!! I think if I just quit procrastinating, like my dad says, I could finally get my stuff done (OR WOULD I??!!). DUUUN-DUUUN-DDDUUUUNNNN!!
--Liz, 11

No, I dont think I have enough time to do all my homework. As teachers cant seem to get, I have a life...
--Annie, 13

I am on one of the top soccer teams in the state and I have to put a lot of time and effort into it. I am also with one of the best dance companies in Utah. I am on my school basketball team and I am swamped in homework. I am starting to let some of my grades slip so I have more time to sleep. I want to be a good athlete and a good student. What so I do?
--Lexa, 13

I have a lot of homework to do, especially in math and social studies. I hate math. I also have Spanish homework to do. In science, we have to do a HUGE project. I really can't stand having homework.
--KJ

Ah, Juliet, my big sis, one thing: people hate filling out planners. It's just the way it is! I only do when I have A LOT of things due the next day or that week. My time management isn't that hard, I don't do much. I take diving lessons on the weekends, do highland dancing three times a week, and I play the sax. Juliet, on the other hand, does volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, track, plays the oboe, and is in art club, yearbook, and does diving lessons as well.
--July, 11

I dont have time for my family anymore because school has taken over my whole daily routine. I dont even have time to be a kid and hang out with friends, or go to parties or concerts because I always have to do homework! I dont even have time to go to the skate park and skate with my sister and friends!! I hate it. Its not fair. I think they should make school hours less. Im doing debates in composition, and this is definitely my topic. READ DIS: NO HOMEWORK, IT SHOULD BE BANNED!
--Gurly-Gurl

"I felt like I didn't have enough time for myself! I was always stuck doing my homework. But I realized that my schedule was crammed because I was doing a lot of activities I didn't even like. Now I'm only doing 1 sport, 1 instrument, and I have lots of time just to be me!"
--Violet, 11

"I never do my homework because I am too busy."
--Anna

"Well, I'm in seventh grade. Last year during my first year of middle school I was scared that I'd get too much homework, but really, if you use your time wisely at school, once you get home you have barely anything for homework. And don't procrastinate! I do have to practice my oboe for band homework each night. The key to time management is using your time wisely! "
--Juliet, 13

I dont always want to do my homework. What should I do?
--Hannah, 8

There is always enough time. Its all about putting in order the things that are the most important. Try setting a schedule with what is due first during the week. Do one assignment for an hour and then move on to another one. Or you can order it by the ones that you know will take up the most time first, and then finish your work off with the less time consuming ones...
--June

PLEASE READ PLEASE READ PLEASE READ! For those of u who r in 5 days a week schools or elementary schoolu got it easy!!! What do u have for homework? A paper in math, science, and Language arts? In my schools its only TWO DAYS A WEEK and they give us a whole page full of assignments!!! In every class! In Grammar I have to write a paper, finish a packet, and do a test. In Literature I have to do a 3 page packet and read 2 chapters in Robin Hood. In science I have to read 2 chapters and answer 7 questions. In Math I have exactly 46 measuring problems to do! NO JOKE. In History I have to write a page report (with out skipping lines!!!! ). I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR ANYTHING! So if u complain about having too much homework, just remember that someone out there has MORE! C ya.

I don't have time to do anything! I wish I had 48 hours per day!!!!!!
--Luli, 12

I need a new time schedule! I have to do homework for my 8 classes, then I have to feed and play with my dog, Karter. I also have to make time for my friends, because whenever my friends ask me if I wanna hang out with them, I tell them that I can't because Im always swamped with homework! Then, I have to take a shower, and eat dinner. And on Saturdays I can't hang out with my friends, because I have to hang out with my brother at Wannado City, and on Sundays, I have to do chores. I have to clean my room, turn on the dishwasher, do my laundry, wipe the tables, sweep and wax the living room and kitchen tiles, sweep the veranda, polish the banister, carpet-sweep the carpets, and neaten up everything. Can you help? Please? I beg of you. Please, help me!
--Verona, 12

If u feel like u need 2 manage ur time better, read IML's link on Time Management.
--HappyGirl, 11

Wish I had more time for friends and skateboarding.
--Joe, 12

Morning-I always have to remind myself that I DON'T NEED TO WAKE UP AT 9: 50 SO I CAN BE IN SCHOOL ON TIME (Once I get to school, the bell had already rung)!!! Reading at school-I need to have enough time to read my book instead of getting YELLED IN THE FACE BY THE TEACHER WHILE DURING A LESSON!!! Lunch- I don't need to get into the back of the lunch line because when I get to the table, we're about to leave! Playing with friends- I need to have more time to play with my friends instead of doing my homework or going to work with mom!!! I NEED MORE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
--Aang, 9

Never in my lifetime have I had enough time 4 anything!!!
--Anonymous

I have no time management what soever. In the mornings I barely make it out the door and at school I just barely make it to class!!! I guess me and my friends should stop emailing each other on the computer between classes when we are sitting right next 2 each other!! Who am I kidding I am late 4 the bell right now!! Better go. My lit. Teacher is coming my way!! BYE!
--Anonymous

I am so sick of doing homework and assignments. If just feels like thats all I do. Im too busy to do anything else.
--Amy, 13

I would switch things every other day. One day I could play on the computer, and the next play a game. I would also fit my other activities in.
--NIvedha, 9

Try first making a schedule for the day.
--Ariana, 11

I feel like I never have time to play, be alone, or take time off of schoolwork. My life is so busy all the time. What about you?
--Amanda, 8

I always have a lot of time to do something but I always choose to procrastinate instead do what I have to do and not wait till the last minute.
--Vanessa, 11

Its so annoying when that happens, I guess I would just play 9dragons though [LOL, thats were I got my name, its one of the clans there].
--Heavenly Demon, 10

Oh, seeing I really shouldnt use Heavenly Demon as a name here, I switched to another clans name [^. ^].
--Wu-Tang, 10

I would play games and go outside at 7.00pm. Tonight I will also do my homework before going to bed. Shalom.
--Shalom

I think if I could stop procrastinating and just get up and do what I have to do without waiting until the last minute, I could do better.
--Evelyn D

NEVER. I never have time for myself anymore. I do so much stuff...But that's life. Im OK with it. =).
--Jo, 12

Krystal: why don't you just do your homework at school? And give up some of the activities that you do to free up your time. Wait until weekends to discuss your opinions to your parents. Why don't you feed your pet, and let your siblings play with her, so that you can watch television? Good luck on this schedule! Sayonara!
--Mikimaru, 12

I think it would be dumb having a curfew of 9:00 P. M. I mean seriously what if youre having a party or you have to be out late? That would be unfair to get in trouble. =[.
--Shawn, 12

I feel like I have no time I get up at 6:00am every morning 'cus I have to wake up my mom an dad an sis make breakfast pack my lunch be at school at7: 30 'cus Im a safety patrol Tuesday after school I have girl scouts Wednesday I have musical theater Thursday pottery class tons of homework got to do house chores clean my room an take care of my sis why my parent are at work Im a babysitter an I try to make times for friends how can I get all these weight of my back?
--Casey, 11

Im coolboy's big sis.
--Cutezgirl

I always have lots of time in the winter, because there aren't many sports I can join in my town then. However, it gets really hectic during the beginning and end of the year. In fact, during the Softball season, it's a treat for me to have enough time to just sit down and watch The Naked Brothers Band!!!! Recess is way too short. Every day we've got to listen to this book called Gifts from the Sea, and it takes up perhaps 20 minutes that could be recess. : - ( People probably wonder why I am quiet--the reason is because I don't get to see my friends (sorry if you're one of my classmates, but you reeeaaaallly just don't have the Courtney approach to life) outside of the class! Hasta la bye bye.
--Courtney, 11

Dear Ashely: you need friends. Sometimes friends could help you. Everybody needs to have some friends. I have friends too. I wish you make friends. Thanks, goodbye.
--Harjot K, 12

I don't have much time during the day. First, I get up normally 10:00 because I have to go to school at 12:30, then from 12:30 to 5:30 I have to be in school Then I stay a little while in my grandmas house and come home at sometimes 6:30. Then it's time to do so much homework and then it's off to bed at least 12:00 a.m. It's tough being me!
--Pink Girl, 12

Yo, it is Thursday and I finished building words a few hours ago. At least I work fast (Only sometimes my work gets sloppy). I needed to write down 15 long words cuz I am in the group with the longest words. I need to write down peaceable, enforceable...
--Jon, 9

I just finish my homework and get on with my stuff. Mostly, the homework part is...Uugghhh!!!!!!
--Tahseen, 10

Why cant we have four longer days at school and Fridays off.
--Hailey, 11

I usually have enough time to do everything that I am assigned to. If we don't finish our assignment and we have been working on it for a while, either we are dead or we need to come in for recess (Our teachers are really strict).
--Jonathan, 9

Yes, but I could manage my time better doing my hmwk sooner.
--CoolBoy, 8

Teachers give too much homework and projects! I dont know how someone can fit homework, personal hygiene, and me time with so much work! PLEASE HELP ME!
--Amber, 11

I usually have enough time.
--CuteGirl, 11

I think that all things have a time to be placed. I think that I have enough time to do my task because I don't ignore stuff that is important. I manage my time by placing the important things on top and do other tasks that aren't that needed.
--Ara

I think tests are stressful but I got over with the stress by listening to the teacher and following all the teacher's advice.
--Thivagar, 11

Im busy nonstop what ever I do, I never have time for me, on week dayz I have school till 230 and don't get home till 4, then I have homework for 5 classes, then I have to feed and play with my pet angel, she is a sugar glider, and then I have to spend time with my fam. And tell them how my day went and eat supper, and practice gymnastics, cheerleading, and guitar, not to mention since I just moved I also have to keep in touch with my old friends and my new friends, and I am still talking my parents into letting me date, and Im also trying to become popular, sooo if I have any free time it goes to reading or exercising, but I never have time to watch t. V., because as Im doing all this I still have to watch my 2 younger sisters when my parents are out, sooo I have no free time, some one help, please!! If u can figure a time schedule for me to do all these things, then contact me. SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME, UR HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED!!!!
--Krystal

Every Thursday my teacher gives us a thing called building words. Its when u do something like this. A ad it takes forever cuz I have super long words and we only get like 15-20 mins.
--Jon, 9

I do wish that I can have more time to decorate or clean my locker at school.
--Anonymous

I usually never have time, I always get test, need extra homework, and other dumb school stuff!!! Also, most of all, I usually always think about my crush, but that is way I never get my stuff done. So Im totally over that monkey.
Anonymous

Unfortunately, school is like a JOB for me. I have two hours of homework for my eight classes, and I hate it sometimes. Projects are also big, and I have little time to do them with all of the other projects eight teachers assign me with homework too, and there is also a super short dead line, so I have three hours of homework a night. I have to start as soon as I get home to finish it all by dinner. I don't have much time to play outside or do anything fun before dinner anymore, but I have to manage my homework and my time. So I leave the TV for after dinner and call my friends after dinner so I can relax...
--Alexa, 12

I want to do school activities.
--Kayla, 8

I don't have time to do stuff. It doesn't bother me.
--857565554535251505

The easier thing to do is- if you have something to do after school like a sport, after you finish that you come straight home and do homework. (Only exceptions if you DONT HAVE HOMEWORK or you're super hungry and need something to eat) If you have a lot of homework, take a break every 15 minutes and avoid distractions. Turn off the TV, pull the blinds down, and concentrate. Also, it would help a lot if you're organized so you can just pull out whatever you need AND KNOW WHERE IT IS.
--Megan, 10

I wish I could have more time for computer and TV on the weekdays. I manage my time well, but there still isn't much time for tons of fun stuff.
--Swimfast

I can manage my time just fine thank u. I have all of the time in the world!
--Sarah, 13

I am on the basketball team , volleyball team, go running every morning before school, and I am still able to get strait A's. I am like the most disorganized person I know. Trust me if I can do it, so can you.
--Katherine

I want to go to regular school but Im homeschooled and I dont like it what do I do.
--AnnMarie

If you only have a few minutes before class and you slept over time how would you get there on time?
--Kaitlin

Well heh on weekdays, Im TOTALLY BOOKED! But on the weekends yeah, Im pretty free. I think the most efficient way is to do your homework as soon as you get home or when you get the chance. But with me I have organize my time carefully, not hehehehe, since I have these to keep up- A average, Decathlon, Concert Chorus, and Altar Serving, which are all very time consuming. Since I MEGA TOTALLY BELIEVE IN GETTING EVERYTHING ABOVE A B+ WHICH IS AN A. .
--Sam a.k.a. Mimi, 12

My teacher, she gives us so little time to do something she like work work WORK I wish there was more time in a day DO U? !

--Ashley

I only hate school because of PE! The only time we have PE is on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. But on Tuesday and Thursday after PE I go to speech class and its the funniest time of the school day. Well and recess is the funniest time of the day too. Do you know a way to stay out of school? I want to stay home or go to Omaha but I dont know how. So do you know a way? Because I need a way out. Please help me PLEASE!!!! You can try to find a way. Com so please try to email me. Thanks goodbye.

--Glenna, 13

I've always been really un-organized and I really h8 that part of me, but I soon learned how to manage my time and Im a lot happier now because Im not getting detentions and notes in planner every period or something. I have a really tight schedule. Choir on Tues, guitar on Thurs, cooking club on Thurs and Fri, and lots of homework. 3 spelling pages, and an essay plus math.
--Matt, 10

I feel I have enough time to do all the things I have to do but not for all the things I want to do. I think I could probably try and get some more 'friend' times in on the weekends.
--Tiffany

"I have a really tight schedule. Dance on Wednesdays. Cheerleading on Thursdays. Church chorus on Wednesdays. Church band on Thursdays. And my teacher gives a LOOOTTTT of homework. I am in year 8. I was not able to hand in a piece of homework to my very strict art teacher. I had to find something about Chinese New Year and my computer was playing up. I had no books to help me on the topic. So at the lesson she shouted at me and gave me a detention. I told her I couldnt do homework but I still got detention. I have got the detention as soon as half term is over : ', - (.

It wasn't until my freshman year of high school, until I found out how effective a planner was, now in my 2nd year of high school I use my planner and calendar everyday to jot down important projects, homework, tests, etc. To keep on track with all of my assignments so I hope this helps...
--Carlee

No I dont.

I don't really like school because even when I go to bed at the right time I get tired in work time and theres nothing I can do to make it better.

I really need to learn how to manage my time better, cuz its just hard to get everything I need to get done, done. If u know what I mean. And HarryPotter, 12"- how did u get to be so popular"? like evry1 one here, I think, knows who u r. =).
--Kittykat, 13

I like to use a planner to organize my time. You can write down everything you need to do that day. To make it you can use a notebook or journal.
--Holly

I do, but sometimes not...
--JS

I have a lot of time to do stuff, but I put stuff off. My Mom is like, a sucker for homework. Honestly, when I got my loft bed, she made sure there was a desk underneath. I don't have anything on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. But I have Soccer on Monday, Friday, and both Weekends. Every day after school, I have a couple hours to work, but I just don't wanna.
--TitanicCrazy, 11

Cassie, I WORSHIP YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
--TitanicCrazy, 11

I have time to shake my eyes after school. It is very tiring and cool because my friends like it. I can put my foot on my head and I can bend my legs backwards or forwards. This has to do with time because it is cool at school and I have time to do it!
--Ricardo, 9

How should I manage my time? I always seem to have so much time on my hands.
--Vanessa, 11

HarryPotter: At least people know you're a girl!: -).
--JS, 13

I never have enough time during periods to go to the bathroom, so I need to work on that. Like today I had to go so bad, and the bell finally rang, but my next class was downstairs and my locker was upstairs. And I was going to drop my stuff off but the bell rang and I still had to go really bad. Luckily one of my best friends Jake was in that class and he was being really hilarious to distract me. So someone give me some advice on how to manage my time in between classes!
--HisGirl101, 12

I feel that my schedule is very jam-packed with tons and tons of homework, short term and long term projects, and study sheets for tests. We have so many extra things to do in school, and the homework takes a very long time to finish. There is no free time to play soccer or practice my instrument.
--Lexi, 12

I dont feel like I have enough time to hang out with my friends I have so much to do! I think maybe I shouldnt do too many sports.
--Madison, 11

Americangirl: Thanks for the advice. I am over the problem on the pet page, because somebody stepped up, and confessed. Thx.
--Lori, 11

My parents just dont let me go out of the house and play. They say its too cold. Even when I spend 2 hours studying. I have nuff tyme alwayz buh still they dont letmeh go out. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wuh should I do???????????????????????????????.
--Sher, 12

Wow, since Jr High started, a lot has changed. More homework, and I have to practice my instrument for band 30 mins every day. Im sure I'll make it through though!
--LaMae, 13

I don't think we have enough time to do a lot of projects in our school. Most of my teachers will only tell us about our tests like, a day before we do them. I think I could manage my time better by studying a lot of the time so that way I'll be prepared for anything, but I'll also try to have fun along the way.
--Molly, 13

No, I don't feel like I have enough time for myself, because I have a busy schedule all week long, even the weekends.
--Hannah, 12

Lori 11: pick a screen name for urself so we know who u r. Those peeps who pretend 2 be u r just bored cuz they have nothing better to do. So, don't feel bad. Just pick a new fun name! Im Americangirl. U can be whatever u want 2 be. And if peeps r trying to pretend 2 be u again then u should tell them 2 back off. But the other Loris could be Loris too. U might not be the only Lori on here.
--Americangirl

Hhhh today is Wednesday. I HATE SCHOOL!
--Injilaimam, 12

Harrypotter 12: because u have been here soo long and we were wondering...
--Americangirl

Im Chocoholic. I changed my name. I can't manage time very well. = ( Im gonna make a cool smiley. It's not very cool. (=) ***Tilt ur head to the right. It's a smiley w/ a beard and a unibrow!!
--Sillyputty, 10

Guys, Im getting a lot of personal problems with this site such as people having the same name as me that act exactly like me, and I absolutely HATE that, because people are going to think that it's me!!! Sorry, if I have been rude lately, but still I can't tell you who I really am. NOBODY LISTENS TO ME!!! Am I invisible...What am I dong wrong? Some people just come on this site, and fit in with the popular group if you know what I mean. Just dealing with the worst thing that has ever happened on here. Sorry.
--Lori, 11

Today is Monday. I love school.
--Aldpo

Cassidy, 13***Go to the IML advice place. Maybe they have a question like urs. If they don't then send it in!!!!
--Chocoholic, 10

I like homework.
--Shaylee, 11

OK, why is everyone so interested in knowing my name?!?!
--HarryPotter, 12

Hi! My name is Kamryn. In school I want to be student council. But Im scared. Im scared because I have to go to a meeting with lots of teachers! What should I do? Kamryn.
--Kamryn, 9

Whoa! I have a lot to do every day. I have chores, homework, and to take care of my younger brother. I never have time to hang out with my friends. I do not know what to do!
--Madison, 9

Most of the time. Im usually busy with homework and studying. I could manage my time better by cutting back on TV and computer.
--Karen, 11

Finding my way out of these instructions.
--J. J

Cassidy Smith 13) I think Cassidy you should help you're mom! Do you have a Father? If you do you should ask Him to help! I ask my dad and Usually It's great! So Chat Back to me and I will help you!
--Kristina, 11

Nope. Not anymore. Sometimes I just let the chips fall where they may.
--HarryPotter, 12

At my School we have study hall so when I get home my homework is usually done so, I have time for myself too. Cassidy 13 I dont know what u should do! But PBS might! Go to their advice place and send in your problem and I guess pretty soon you will get advice...
--Americangirl, 12

I went to Greece this summer of 2006. For vacation! And when I came back I wanted to clean and organize my room! But it's too late! And school is starting! So I might have to change it next year or a different month!
--Kristina, 11

I do my homework on the bus, and when I get home. It's challenging but I don't want to get bad grades. And sometimes last year my teacher Mrs. Painter let everybody In the class to do their homework! In school! I had about a couple of hours to do it and play!
--Kristina, 11

Yes I have enough time!
--Kristina, 11

At lunch and recess we don't get enough time! This is my first year to ever switch classes I think we don't get enough time to switch! I mean like the teachers won't even tell you, and like before you get all your stuff packed up there will be people coming in and running all over you!
--Taylor, 10

I think the best way to manage your time is to have a planner/organizer. It tells you if you have the time to do something and if you do not!! It makes you take of a lot of stress!!
--Lori, 12

I am starting middle school and I want to hang out w/ my friends but I have to study until like 11:00.
--Parisa, 10

I think less TV and computer would help me manage time better.
--Erica

Im gonna try out for volleyball when school starts but I wrote a schedule according to the IML topic Time Management".
--Dana, 10

I keep my schedule in handy. I have one at home in my trapper and in my backpack. Oh! Also my locker. =].
--Taylor, 10

I am about to have a little sister and so not only am I going to be worrying about school and chores but also I will be babysitting and trying to juggle everything! What do I DO?
--Cassidy Smith, 13

I think Im in the middle of having enough time to do all the things that I have to do and want do it, because I usually do most of my school work, but when it comes to extra curricular activities like, extra math, piano, or flute, I usually procrastinate, by saying I'll do it later". I think I can manage by time better by using a daily planner, and being really determined to used the daily everyday so that I usually get everything done...
--Neha, 13

I do not like to get in trouble in school.
--Alfred

I do homework everyday. I do timed test everyday. I pass all of timed test.
--Angela C, 8

Chloethewonderful", you shouldn't be text messaging during class, why do you have to kiss your boyfriend once a day and, there's no such thing as lowlifes." You don't sound like a good student (no offense).
--Anonymous

I keep a schedule.
--Danielle, 12

What time is the play time to be outside before the school play time runs out. A 6pm is not good for you. Like a school pet. I do if you have a bunny. I hope it is so cute and I hope it will not bite. Will be a angel in a school.
--Laura

Oh hi Pman fans. You might remember me from embarrassing moments. Well I think I have plenty of time at home and at school, but especially at school. Since Im going to middle school I think I will have a less time as usual. That's all I have to say fans out there, oh, I almost forgot thanks PBS.
--PMan, 12

Oh hi! This is a story about my teacher hates me but it's full, so IML just please post it. Well Im in the 6th grade and my teacher is a little bit like a racist. First thing, it all started two day's after school began and it was my birthday (kinda) , and the teacher just ignored me, and a other girl didn't even tell the teacher it was her birthday and the teacher told the class everybody sing happy birthday to the girl. There's two teacher's pet in my class (a boy and girl) named Earl and Ruth. The teacher love's the girl and I heard the teacher say to some girls I think Earl is cute". In. Well one time the teacher told my friend and I to go somewhere and the whole class went to the restroom. Well I went back with the class and saw some picture's then all of the sudden"****** you got a detention", and the teacher's pet went and nothing happened to her, so teacher if your reading this I DON'T CARE!!! Same goes to the teacher's pet Earl and Ruth.
--Anonymous, 13

I feel like I don't have enough time to do homework, go to dance a lot for competition, and do everyday things, or be lazy. I will try organizing myself.
--Alessia, 10

Not anymore, now that I've gotten into acting.
--HarryPotter, 12

My friends say that Im alosoin.
--Tori, 10

Well I am on the Belles Dance Team at my school so I am pretty busy with that. But I also have a lot of time to do what ever I want...
--Skater Dude

If I ever could have more time, I'll spend it in the ice rink, figure skating.
--Irina, 12

Now Im getting back to the routine. I have to get up and get things back on time management. First get thing together for school what you know you need. Then if there is something else you need for class, get it from the teacher. Then do your best in all classes, and come home do the homework first and then do what you want to do.
--Carla

I do feel like I do have enough time but I really don't. We are having expecting twins so I really have to clean up around the house and keep it clean before mom gets home. So I was thinking that I can make a list of things that I have to do before 5:00.
--Satia, 10

I always have enuf time 4 SW. MT and CT. So no worries o:-).
--EvilG. , 9

I promised Jenny Id meet her at the mall but I have to look after my younger sister since my older bro is playing video games. She'd understand but I'd know how much Im going to miss. What should I do? Please help!
--jasmine, 8

NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
--Anonymous

No! I don't even think I am close to having enough time in a day to do everything I want to do. I wish I did though. LOL.
--Emma, 13

Well I would try to do 1 thing at a time.
--Ariana, 9

My teacher is a pain. Just because I am a smart kid. She gave me a subject I really hated. Science I had to make a red volcano 14 feet long ''''''''''''' that was long. Peace, Devonte W.
--Devonte W, 9

On school days I never get to go outside and play with my friends. It really gets me mad but then I know that schoolwork is more important than going outside and playing with your friends!!! Sometimes I go outside and I forget about my schoolwork and the same day or the next day I have to rush to do my schoolwork. And thats when I learn my lesson!!!!
--Anonymous

I have no idea how I can handle everything I do! I think I could manage my things better by having less guilty time, to do my regular things on my basis, then playing out. 95 percent of my time is spent playing with friends. It should be only in the 40's at least.
--Olivia

I think I should stop trying to do every thing and work on one thing at a time.
--Cara, 11

How do you manage the time you have between classes to do work.
--Katherine

I think that it will help my time of doing homework. I also think that I might like 6th grade since I read some of the answers. Thanks a lot!!!!!!
--Breanna, 11

Sometimes I do not have enough time to do what I want to do because I do what I need to do, like homework or cleaning. I don't like to do it but I have to. I could manage my time better so I have time to do what I want, but when I try to, it never works. So maybe it's better the way it is now.
--Jackie, 10

Im crammed with schoolwork, chores & watching out for my sibs. I just wish I had time for writing my books & drawing comics & watching TV. But Im on the computer secretly. He he! Im so bad.
--Evilgir, 9

Ya I try to always do my homework at school or try to do it first, then go on the computer, cause if I don't finish...*gulp* serious trouble.
--Aaisha, 11

I dont feel like I have enough time. Teachers pile tons of HW and I never have time to finish it all.
--Mandee

Seema: Ummm... what club?
--Lori

I think that procrastination is my biggest problem in completing homework without stress. On the days when I have a lot of homework, I start it when I get home from school, and I usually finish it at a reasonable time. On the days with little homework, I watch TV or go on the computer or something like that before I start my homework because I think that I will have time to do it later. That doesn't turn out well though, because I end up doing the homework late at night instead of just getting it done early and then watching TV after I am finished with my homework. So, by making priorities, you can lower the level of stress in your life. Homework is more important than watching TV because grades are what will help you later on, not that episode on TV. If you complete what is important first, then you will have time later to do other things.
--Bridget

Yeah Right! Im a terrible procrastinator. I'll be 'fresh meat' this fall. I'll have to juggle 4-H, band, sports, homework, etc, etc. I may be able to manage better with a planner, but I don't want to be one of those people who live by the book! You know what Im saying?
--Elise

I have really busy day at my boarding school. Here's my day: Wake up, call mom and dad, make my bed, shower, get dressed, walk my dog Princess, stop at Starbuck's for a muffin, reading, math, biology, spelling, photo shoot, shoot a commercial, lunch, gym, call mom and dad, computer lab, art, music, go shopping with friends, dinner, TV, read, call mom and dad, bed. Thats my day.
--Zoe, 10

"Yeah, and if I don't I just stay up late. It is not like my parents care. They can't make me go to bed.
--Carol, 13

Im crammed with schoolwork, chores & watching out for my sibs. I just wish I had time for writing my books & drawing comics & watching TV. But Im on the computer secretly. He he! Im so bad.
--Evilgir, 9

Im getting sick and tired of doing chores, especially when my mom makes me upset when I cant do them!!!
--Charlene, 12

Once when I was in first grade we had three cubes. If we lost them all, our moms will come to my class. Once I had a warning. I didnt do anything, cause a friend of mine from Brazil, his name is Joao. That spells John. Ok, oh yah, I never lost a cube. Yay me.
--Hannahkelly, 8

I have enough time for everything. I get home and have a snack. Then I do my homework. After that I have the rest of the night to play.
--Emlee

My math teacher always gave us a bunch of work to do in 15 min. I got by by just doing the easiest and doing the rest for HW. I have enough time between friends, family and school.
--Izzy, 12

My name is Seema. I've been wanting to join your club. I am a big fan of PBSKids.
--Seema

Well, at school my two teachers always stack up a bunch of work that we have to finish in 30 min. Most of the time I stay in recess to finish it. If I don't I have to add it onto homework.
--DevilgirlMwaHaHa, 10

I feel very rushed but I also get time for myself. I'll be a freshman next year and I'll have school, marching band, baby-sitting, homework, and maybe a sport. I'll still have most Saturdays and Sundays devoted to a little bit of homework, family, friends, practicing my flute, and me time.
--Cassie

No, because every day when I wake up for school, I go back 2 sleep, so I don't have enough time to get my clothes on, eat breakfast, and get out the door.
--Kitten, 9

I am doing a debate on...School hours 12pm-6:00pm. Isnt that crazy? Will u give me some reasons why kids SHOULDNT go to school at that time?
--Madison, 13

NO. It's so hard to manage between school, home, and boys, so, I can barely fit anything extra in. Im in fourth grade and getting ready to go to 5th soafter that, middle school. I have a busy social life too.
--Torika, 10

"Well if anyone seriously asks me this question, my answer would be yes and no. The answer yes would be because in my 1st and 2nd term I had used my time efficiently and I had time to do everything I wanted. But later I started wasting my time and lost the opportunity to do whatever extra curricular activities I wanted. Therefore, I conclude saying that if a person uses his or her time efficiently he or she could do anything they want to do in their lives"
--Komal, 13

"Ok, well I don't have time for homework, 'cause when I get back from school I come and play on this website. Then I play Game Cube and then I play outside, so I don't really have time for homework. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!"
--Yahya, 8

"I have a crunched up schedule during the school year. After school I have soccer or softball. The only day I get to myself for watching TV after school is Friday. Sometimes that's full because I help at the local dog shelter."
--VALLEY, 11

"I have to kiss my boyfriend at least once a day, make sure I look my best in front of him, and make sure I have a different hairstyle every day. I have to make sure my makeup looks good, make sure I don't wear the same pants or shirt in the same week, make sure me and my best friend bring our cell phones to school, so we can text during Mr. Rockwell's boring history class. I have to make sure I sit far away from the low-lifes at school, and make sure my Dad remembers to take my little dog Gary out before I go to bed. I think my time slots are pretty full. Does anyone suggest a time in the day were I can do the things I want to do?"
--ChloeTheWonderful, 13

"I wish I had 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 more hours! Then I'd get caught up!"
--Anonymous

"I always try to go by my schedule, like, 1 hour of TV, and ALWAYS clean the kitchen (well, maybe I don't ALWAYS clean the kitchen)!"
--Albina, 10

"I think I have enough time to do stuff, like watching TV and all that. Being 3/5's popular has its downsides with time management. One day I was doing my homework for a big project, and my friends came over with their bikes. I'm STILL not done with the project thanks to them, but other than that incident, time management is like breathing for me."
--Jen, 11

"NO, NOT AT ALL! Im in show choir at my school, SWAT, and go to church! Show choir practices every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday! SWAT meets on Monday and church on Wednesday! I have learned from past experiences that you cant do EVERYTHING!! Plus my mom works and its hard for her to take me and pick me up! I have realized that I have to decide what I wanna do most-I know its hard though!"
--Cady, 13

"I do so much - 4 choirs, modeling-the works. Then comes school. Up until this year, I was a straight-A student, but now its harder to get my time straight. Plus Im very into looking good, so I have to put aside time for tanning and getting my hair and nails done and exercising. Its tough. You've just gotta prioritize!!"
--Gabby

"I used to feel frustrated about having so much homework, but now I found a study buddy to work with, and it seems to make the time go faster. And no, a study buddy is not the person where u each do half of the problems. It is a person that u can help if they dont understand something, and they in return can help you. This also helps get your work done faster because with more willpower it will go quicker."
--Kristine

"I had trouble keeping my TV schedule organized, so I skipped the reruns."
--Karen

"I am always busy and I never get time to watch TV."
--Alice, 11

"Im really busy every day, and I'd love to make a daily planner and such, but I find it so frustrating because most of the time my schedule just changes. I find it hard to think that I have to do a certain thing in a certain time of day, so to give myself more variety, I've decided to make a time of day where I can do one of the following things, and so on! :)."
--Vanessa, 12

"I feel like I never get done what I need to get done. After school, sometimes I have dance, chores or babysitting jobs and other days Im just jam-packed with homework. But, one thing I can do is to spend less time on the computer and watching TV. Then, I would have a good two hours extra time to get done what I need to."
--Melissa, 13

"No, I spend less time on my homework cause I want to have a good social life."
--Alyssa, 14

"Im not an American and I have a lot of problems in school with language. So I have to study almost all afternoon, so I don't have any time left. I came to America in this year, and everyone are expecting me, that I perfect speak English. But as probably u can see, Im not. I mean it's so hard to do anything when I have to study language, that without it, I can't do anything. It's taking me much time everyday, cause I have to learn everyday about 50 new words, and I have also my regular homework. It is a lot of work. It's taking me about 2 hours to do my homework, and then Im learning English for about an hour. That is 3 hours of only studying. Im also babysitting few children two days a week. And it is horrible hard, but I almost everyday find some time just for me and my friends. It's all depends on u, It's not your teacher's fault, that he or she gives you too much homework."
--Anna

"Sometimes I feel like I don't have enough time to do the things I want to do because I spend plenty of hours on homework. One way I think I can manage my time is by doing the work in class if the time is given."
--Jennifer, 13

"Mrs. Gallagher, 'the devil of ELA, once gave us 5 poems to do in one night! Not anymore though. But now math gives me 3 sheets a night and Social Studies 1 sheet. ELA now usually gives only 2 poems."
--G, 10

"I sometimes feel like I have time for myself. Thats if my mom isn't asking me to do something. I go to school to get my education, come home, and do my homework."
--Megan

"If you feel pressured, try to buy a daily planner of organizer."
--Michael, 12

"I used to H. A. T. E. math! That was the only subj. I got a B in, and the rest? A's. Now, I love it, and got a 100 on my math test Thursday!"
--Kristyn, 11

"I feel I do not have enough time to do all the things I want to do, because, well, I guess Im a busy gal. I have dance every day for 4 hours!!!!!! After dance I finish my homework and go to bed. I think I could manage my time better by having less dance lessons."
--Arielle, 11

"Most of the people saying I have time, and Ooh Im so good, I can manage are mostly 11 or 12. You haven't seen anything yet. I go to one of the hardest working schools in town. Ive been to many schools, but this one requires lots of speed and quality."
--Julie

"My Tuesday goes pretty much like this: go to vocal ensemble (7:15 AM), go to a Committee Meeting for Student Council (8:00 AM), go to school until 3:00 PM, go home and do homework for another 6 hours or so until 9:00 PM, my bedtime. Take all of that and top it off with a voice lesson around 5 PM, and what do you get? STRESS. I also have a few other priorities: practicing voice/piano, guitar, and working on my 3 projects for school. Although I work for more than 3 or 4 hours per day on homework, I still get stuck with six hours of projects per day on the weekend. I have no time for fun. I used to love to write (and still do), but now I can't fit in the time to do that anymore. I don't learn anything from a lot of this work, and I don't have time to be a kid. When my mom was a kid, she had time to do a lot of things because her schedule wasn't so mashed-up. That's not to say that she didn't have to do as much homework -- she probably did -- but she didn't have as many activities in her life. To manage my time well, each day, I write down all of my priorities in my planner, then I do what I need to get done first. For those of you who are as stressed as I am, my advice is to take a 15-minute break after every hour you work on homework, practice, etc. It works 99% of the time!"
--Amelia, 11

"Nope, I cannot believe I stayed at my great grandmother's 'till 5:00pm and spent almost all of my Saturday night because I am trying to find out if I can spend the night at my best friends house. But she has not called me back since 5:30pm. So I am hoping she will call me back."
--Brittany, 10

"NO, I usually feel like Im pressured. We get way too much work compared to what we do. Teachers give projects on the same day and give us the same due date, too! HOW do they think we can do that! So I get less sleep and Im always complaining when I get a project, but I think that everyone here, including me, should manage our time better and develop more study skills because we should be able to do all these."
--Kelly

"I think that time management is very hard when you play softball till 4 o'clock and then get home at five thirty. But the way I manage my time is I pace myself and I try not to do more than one thing at once."
--Maggie, 13

"I barely even have enough time to do my chores or even to get to do anything I want to. We spend more time at school then we do at home with our families."
--Amanda, 13

"Goodness gracious! I don't have the time to do everything I need or want to do! Not with cheer practice and AP classes! Especially when each teacher from the different subjects assigns his or her own homework! It starts to all add up, and now since cheer is taking so much time up, I won't be able to try out for next year, since it caused so many problems with homework. It's hard to get a 4. 0 GPA and still have fun! Other than that, high school is fun. :-)."
--Paulie

"No, I barely have time to even read! When I had to stay home from school because I had a fever I only watched TV, which got boring after shows. I don't even get time to watch TV at night because my teacher gave us homework on remainders, which takes me 3 hours. I can manage my time better by doing half of my homework in class."
--Tatjana, 9

"Oo, I dont have time enough to do my things. Now I have vacation and I can use the computer one day of the week. In school its horrible because I wake up 6:50 a.m. to take a bath for school and come to home at 6:30 p.m. So in after school its crazy. The first month we do party and now we have to be with other teachers. The good thing is that we have swimming. When I finish the time for school I go to my house, and I dont have any time to finish the homework. It isnt good to have my life like this."
--Krystal, 11

"OMG!!!!! Now that my mom has a hectic schedule, my life has collapsed. If there is one lost homework assignment she will FLIP OUT. I don't have time to talk to my friends on the phone (unless my dad is with me and my mom isn't), because for some reason she makes me spend loads of time on revising HW. When I was sick, and on the weekend I spent about 6 HOURS A DAY on revising my homework assignment where you are supposed to write about a book you are assigned to read by answering the questions on the packet. My answer was about 20 TIMES longer than what the other kids wrote. It's just not fair because another kid wrote HALF of what my mom called You just want to get it over with. That really ticked me off because I am good at every subject besides writing. Instead of focusing on what I do do, my mom focuses on what I don't do. When I went grocery shopping with my dad we got everything but two things. There was a flip-out. I sometimes even have to EAT DINNER while doing my homework. Except on weekends, I have practically no free time until my HW is finished. In this household there is only perfect and bad. 100% Good. 99% flip-out."
--Jonathan, 10

"No, I don't have time to do all the things I want to do. I don't because I usually have something on every day. I think I could manage my time better by not doing so many activities."
--Cheyenne, 12

"I think that we have to make a schedule- so we can do what a we want to do and everything- thank you-"
--Mohamad, 12

"I am in so many academic activities that sometimes I get stressed out. Sometimes competition are in the same day and I am forced to choose between them."
--Lorena

--Felicia, 12

"I dont have enough time to do anything. Mostly every night I am up until 10 p.m. doing homework. Sometimes longer."
--Amanda, 11

"I can manage school, drama club, friends, family, pets, social events, and all of that other stuff pretty well! For some strange reason, I can be very good at managing time, without doing anything!"
--HarryPotter, 12

"I barely have any time doing fun stuff because Im in G. A. T. E which is for gifted children. We have to do a lot of work and projects. So its hard to play with my friends since they're not G. A. T. E."
--Henry, 11

"I have the worst schedule on earth! I DON'T EVEN HAVE ONE! My schedule is WAY too late on everything!"
--Jenny, 10

--Michael, 12

"Usually I have enough time for everything. In fact, I love schedules!"
--Susan

"I have band, football, baseball, choir, honors choir, and Cadets. But most of my friends are already in that stuff so all that stuff is alright to do because Im with my friends."
--Jared, 12

"I always have time to talk to my friends. I talk with them all the time because I have time to talk to them after school all the time and I talk to them when I am at my locker at the end of the day of school."
--Amanda, 10

"I think I manage my time well, but there is always room for improvement."
--Tara, 11

"I am home schooled, so it's all good for me."
--Moriah, 10

"I have time. My basic layout is this: locker, class, class, locker, class, class, lunch (I dont eat anything), class, locker, class."
--Matt, 13

"I have no time at all! I have chemistry lab reports and hw for English and projects every single week! I also have geometry homework and that really bites! It's hard and I dont understand it at all! So I come home everyday and do homework and projects- dont go to high school, kids!"
--Akid

"I know this bit of info will help you later on: A WATCH WILL COME IN HANDY!!! Plan what you will do, and check your watch frequently (but not too much)."
--HarryPotter, 11

"Christa, this is to you: I suggest you make a planner and ask your mom or dad about this."
--Michael, 12

"Yup. But that's kinda because I don't do much. So, I guess I have time for stuff. See ya!"
--Murr, 11

"I always have time to talk to my friends. I talk with them all the time because I have time to talk to them after school all the time. And I talk to them when I am at my locker at the end of the day of school."
--Amanda, 10

"I think I manage my time well, but there is always room for improvement."
--Tara, 11

"Nope, I am ready for anything. Well, I think people with problems with time management should get inside info about quizzes and tests. You can also ask if your school has a tutoring problem at your school. Tutors only tutor for 30-60 minutes and that could be like half of your homework time."
--Erin, 11

"I dont have enough time to go to violin lessons and come back to finish my social studies notes, because I come back and have to write a two page note. Do I have enough time?"
--JasmineA, 9

"I go to gymnastics after school. After Im done with my homework I usually have a little time to myself."

--Tabitha, 10

"I do not have enough time to do want I want to do because I have too much homework, plus I have dance every single day for 2 hours."
--Arielle, 11

"No, Im open to total whatever-ness."
--Michael, 12

"I usually don't have enough time to go to my locker, and if you preset your lock on your locker so all you have to do is pull it, a teacher will unlock it and move all of your stuff somewhere else. A girl in my class Lauren sets her lock to the second to the last number so all she has to do is put it on the last number, and it saves her a ton of time! Plus, the lock won't come down if a teacher pulls on it."
--Gloria, 11

"I have lots of time because I get all my stuff done first, and fun second. But it all pays off in the end, trust me!"
--Megan, 13

"I have basketball practice every day right after school until after dark, and then we have to go eat, and then I have to do homework. I never get to play with my friends."
--Trent, 11

"I have plenty of time to do the things that I want to do. When I have homework I ask my older sister to help me, and then when Im done with my homework I get to play my gameboy or watch TV."
--Alex, 11

"I think I am in a depression right now because of whatever is happening in my family. And I have sooooooo much work to do for school because I am in an advanced class. I just wish that I would learn to manage time better and be smarter than I already am so my life wouldn't be so difficult. I have so much work to do; I mean now that my father doesnt live with me and my family. I always have so much work to do. And my mom doesnt have enough money for my older sister's college and my clothes and paying for my basketball team. Thats one more thing that gets in my way. I am on the International U. S. Basketball Team for Jr's, so we have to do a lot of exercise and we work out like 3 days in a week and practice there too. Also, we travel around U. S., so my mom has to pay for SOME of the stuff, but I keep on feeling guilty about how I am wasting the money. But then again, this is going to look really good on my high school application. I tried counseling at school. I don't go that often but I do go when I am feeling sad or angry about something. I just wish that I was either much faster at doing things or the days would be much longer. I want to be a normal, smart, and successful student and live a good life. I guess things are harder to achieve then they look."
--Tarun, 13

"I do not feel I have enough time to do the things that I'd like to do, but I do think I can manage my time a little bit better. The main reason why I feel I don't have enough time is because I get out of school late, because we now have a different schedule from the past years. By the time Im done with homework, it's closing in to nighttime, where there isn't much time to do outside things or things of that sort."
--L, 13

"My worst day of school was when I moved here in grade 5. It all started out bad, even from the beginning. First, I had to go to the office because I could not find my class. The principle introduced me and I got my seat. At recess, it was the usual first day at a new school scenario; being bored and standing by yourself at recess, wishing you were at your old school. I had a best friend at my old school, and we still keep in touch. We are really close, and were still first in each others profiles. Its grade 8. Were still close, but Im off topic. Your first day at a new school, would probably be the worst; it was for me, and most likely will be for any new kid."
--Jessica, 13

"I've just started middle school and the homework's TERRIBLE. By the time it's all done, it's bedtime. I have NO time to chill out. Even worse, my exams are coming up and I can't find time to revise. HELP! Give me some advice."
--Sarah, 11

"How can I get organized for the day ahead? Do you have any ideas?"
--Megan, 12

"I always have schoolwork to do. I also go to the Seattle girls choir, which gives even less time."
--Yelenna, 12

"I think I dont have enough time because I have homework projects due very early, and I feel like I do not have time for fun."
--Ricky, 11

"I feel like I dont have time to do anything anymore. I have 2 minutes to get to my locker from downstairs, then go from my locker back downstairs. And there are so many kids in the way I cant get to class. And the work is really hard and stressful."
--Serena

"I feel like I don't have enough time to play with my friends. I have so much homework and piano practicing and clarinet practicing and choir and swim stuff that it is hard for me to even do my homework!"
--Kay

"I have so much homework that I never have time for anything. Im always up in my room. I don't have time to spend with family and friends. My school gives like two assignments a day, and they make them all the due at the same time."
--Mariecia, 13

"Sara, you say school starts at 9 oclock? I start school at 8:30 and I consider myself lucky, so just be grateful! P. S. I am almost 10."
--Jonathan, 9

"I almost never have time to do my homework. I always have busy schedule like doing chores and cleaning my room, so sometimes when I have lots of homework since I have six classes, Ive got this class that is called homeroom. And they give us time to do homework from other periods."
--Darlene, 12

"Write it down on a place you see all the time."
--Wyatt, 11

"God its here again, dumb homework never lets me do anything, and sometimes it takes a long time. And I can get every problem wrong, and that makes me mad. Man, I wish they never made homework."
--Henry, 13

"Everything I have to do, I have no time! Well, if it helps, I made a little schedule, even the little things! Like, wake up at 6:00 for school, feed pets-that will help you be on time at least a little bit! :)."
--Georgia, 11

"Sometimes I stay up so late 2 do hmk and my mom gets mad at me :(. I am now getting better though, by following the tips here and by planning out my days and such! I have time 4 the mall and stuff 2 now :D."
--Angelica, 11

"I don't have any time to have a social life. My teacher is really strict and assigns everyone in our class to do 2 essays per month (minimum), a drawing thats due every week, write paragraphs in French, science T notes, geography, mini assignments (that are not so mini), math problems of the week, and much more! All of that stuff is usually due every Friday so I stay up till midnight finishing it all and dont have very much time to play with my friends, or spend quality time with my family. And Im beginning to become really tired and sick all the time. My work is always handed in on time, and I always do really well in school (straight a's), but I don't think grades are worth depriving you of your health. Do other students have the same problems as I do? It's just not fair! I even spend my weekend doing homework! What kind of a break is that???"
--Tanja, 12

"No, my mom is sooo strict about extracurricular activities (I have 3, 1 voluntary, 2 involuntary -- 1 of which I do NOT need). We have 30 min. recess but we have to clean up and inspect the room and we have to answer a math question to line up (EACH INDIVDUAL) so we only get about 20 min. (of recess), and we only get about 20 min. lunch. Oh and by the way, Shelby (10) in 3rd grade (now Im in 4th, thank God): we only got 15 min. lunch (1 time we only got 10 min. (for lunch)). :(."
--Anonymous, 9

"I don't think I have time to do all the things I have to do. Like when I do my homework, it takes my 2 hours!"
--Christine, 10

"I would like to clean my room and do other things, but I think I cant do it all at the same time."
--Anonymous

"I just do my homework as soon as possible or on the day I get it, then do all my chores as soon as I get them."
--Tia, 11

"There is never enough hours in the day! Once all my stupid homework is done its too late to do anything I want and I cant take time to talk to or see me mates!!!!"
--Jade

"Sometimes I feel like there isnt enough time in the day to do all the things that I need to do. Because in my class our teacher assigns a lot of homework and I have soccer practice and sometimes I have games during the week. And I go to the YMCA and they dont give us a lot of time to do our homework. And I have do chores when I get home and sometimes I cant even start my homework its so hectic, so I dont know what to do."
--Emily, 10

"I think that we should have more time in lunch. We only have 20 min. That makes me really mad. We have to scarf down our food."
--Shelby, 10

"I feel I have enough time. I do most of my homework in class, and chores before school. In the evenings after school I have time to sit around with my friends and go on a bike ride."
--Matthew, 12

"I hate getting up. I have to get up at six because it takes me two hours to get ready, even if I am listening to music. I have tried pop, rock, rap, retro and R&B and it only works a tiny bit, like three mins or so. I seriously need help."
--Jessica, 11

"How can I clean my room but still hang out with my friends and talk on the phone?"
--Kayla

"I always use up my time by talking to my best friends and chilling with family, so yeah, I think I manage my time pretty good."
--Lisa, 12

"I literally have no time for myself! This weekend I have to study for 2 tests, I have to write an essay and a book report, and I have homework for EACH class. Im in way over my head all the time, even when I don't procrastinate!"
--Savannah, 12

"How can I clean my room but still have fun?"
--Sharnie, 10

"This school year I will be overwhelmed. I have all Honors/Gifted Magnet classes, along with the school newspaper, creative writing club, choir, drama, and service clubs. I still manage everything, because if I get lower than a solid 'B', even a 'B-', I can't do anything after school."
--Dana, 13

"Well school starts tomorrow, and so does the same old routine. I hate it. I get up, get ready for school, run out the door (with my breakfast if Im lucky), go to school, work all day, come home (or some days, play practice), do homework, go to my job. Whoa! Isn't there something wrong with this picture? It's ridiculous! School owns me! I have absolutely no time for my friends, barley have time to eat, and NO TIME FOR ME! The only solution is to slow down time, and of course it isn't possible! I wish I could manage my time better, I really do, but the only remotely fun thing I do all day during the school year is play practice, and that's still kind of work! I guess I'll just have to manage my time better by getting a clone of myself (and I'd bet I'd still barely have a chance to breathe!)."
--Danny

"Sometimes I realize that my schedule is crammed packed. On Mondays I have afterschool activities and karate. On Tuesday, I have more afterschool stuff and piano lessons. On Wednesday, school crud again. On Thursday, dance for 2 1/2 hours. On Friday, afterschool junk. On Saturday, karate, and on Sunday, religious education. Sometimes I wonder how I can do it all!"
--Nick, 12

"I dont have time to do anything on weekdays, but a lot of time on weekends because of school and stuff."
--Josh, 11

"I never liked School. I have hated it since my first homework assignment. I have so much homework, and on top of all that I have ADD. So yeah. I HATE SCHOOL AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
--MarsupialinaCaterin, 5

"I never have enough time. Im homeschooled, so I have a different schedule than public/private schoolers, but it's still hard to stay on track. And, Im going into high school (still homeschooled) this week (aaaugh!!) so it's only gonna get tighter."
--IndigoSquirrel

"Now that Im in middle school, I am in many activities (MESA, band, SADD). And on some days I don't have time for those! But now that I am older I now am smart and wise enough to choose what matters the most. You should too. If you have baseball practice and you also have a major test the next day, you should choose to study. Small choices such as those lead you to time management."
--Derek, 12

"The problem was that I wasn't spending enough time studying. I never had any motivation to, so I would wait until the day before the test, and I would only study for like 35 minutes, which really isn't enough. So here is what I did-I studied every day for 30 minutes, or I studied or read one section until the teacher said, Test coming this Thursday! My grades really improved! You need to learn good study habits before you start high school. I am starting high school the 31st of August 2005, and I am very nervous!"
--Brooke

"Noooooooo! I don't have a very good memory, so I don't know if I said this before, but I hardly spend any time at all at home during the week, except for Friday. My mom is a dance teacher, and she teaches a lot of classes, so I go to my grandparents houses. Then I go home about six if Dad had a good day at work, do my homework, use the computer, and go to bed."
--Kiera, 9

"Yeah, I think I do, since I don't do the whole club and clique and Girl Scout thing- that frees me up to hang out in my room, read, daydream, write in my journal...things that are actually worth doing..."
--MissIndependent

"When Im on the bus or walking home I do most of my work so when I get home I have time for friends."
--Kara, 10

"YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I could manage it better by doing important stuff first and stuff my parents ask right there and then!!!!"
--DeAnna, 10

"No way! I literally have NO time to do all the things that I want to do (or have to do). Im extremely busy! I think that I probably need to manage my time better."
--Clarisse, 13

"It's hard keeping track of the time and managing it. I sometimes miss my fave TV show 'Danny Phantom' because I like to sleep in!"
--'DW', 13

"I almost never feel like I have too much homework and there are some days when I am so bored because I have nothing to do even if I do have homework. I watch at least an hour of TV every day, too."
--Susie, 12

"I think that I don't have enough time to do everything I would like to do, especially since schools right around the corner. Im going to my second year of middle school now. I wake up at eight in the morning, I go to school at nine and homeroom starts at nine twenty-five. School ends for me at four. Four out of five days I go walk home from school, so I get home around four seventeen. At home I have to do my homework. That takes about two to three hours. And I also have to eat dinner and shower. That doesnt leave me much time to play and watch TV. I think there is no way I can manage my time better because that's just how things worked out. But on weekends I do make up for the weekdays."
--Samone, 12

"Yeah, I feel that I do have enough time. But sometimes the stress of doing all the school and the pressure my parents and teachers are giving me is rough! But I get through it."
--Daniel, 13

"I have a lot of activities, and my mom thinks Im overscheduled, but I don't. I like the number of activities I have. I usually limit my TV watching to weekends and vacations, because there's just no time. My big trap is when my sister's done with her homework and asks me to watch a DVD. I sort of get sucked in. My big help is my school planner and my mom's calendar. I have everything scheduled on there!"
--Miranda, 12

"Well, I think I sort of manage my time wisely. If you have a busy schedule, and a planner can't work, when you go home during a school year, get ALL your homework done first. Take breaks if needed. If necessary, you can spend time with your friends and get your homework done, too, if you're super busy."
--Lindsay, 10

"I think homework is stupid. Except for Tuesday, I have sports after school and just don't have enough time for silly homework."
--Saturn, 11

"With all the other kids its like, Oh I dont have time for my friends cause I spend all my time doing homework and studying, but for me its like I dont have any time for homework cause I have things to buy and sports to do and friends to talk to."
--Amanda, 13

"No! I have baseball twice a week. I have volleyball once a week. And friends are important. Ive got to keep up with my friends. And don't get me started on homework!"
--AGirl, 11

"Now that I have started middle, I know Im going to be very busy with dance, schoolwork and family time. By sectioning your activities and time you'll be more organized and know what to do with your time. You could also buy the easy erase boards so you know what activities you have aware of you."
--SYCO

"Math is such a hard thing. I just want to skip math and have all the time."
--Taryn , 9

"My homework piles up fast, and sometimes I just can't stand it and take a break, thinking I'll get to it later- doesn't always work out that way."
--Jenny, 13

"I manage time by using a day planner. Unlike some people, I don't go overboard and let it take over my life. I even set up my self time and friends time."
--Kaysey, 11

"This year Im starting middle school in August. And Im not sure if I would have free time in school to just talk to my friends and my best friends, because we don't have a lot of free times to just talk and show pictures."
--Laura, 12

"Sometimes it's hard to find time to go out with my mates, as Im in year 7 and I get lots of homework. I could manage my time better by doing all my homework on the day I get it at school and then have time to see my mates, but that's only if they don't have too much homework!"
--Jane, 11

"Here is my schedule: get up on school days at around seven. Feed pets. Make bed. Go to school. Homework. Room clean. Chores. Extras, like playing with the greatest friends ever. If you do your work right away, then you will have extra time. I don't always go by this schedule, but I am going to try to stick with it."
--Kitty, 11

"I don't think that there is ever enough time for homework and friends. I usually pick friends over homework and get in lots of trouble for it."
--Becky, 10

"There is too much homework and thinking. There is no free time in school to talk to your friend, and we only have about 3 min. in the hall to get your stuff!"
--Jaylene, 12

"My problem is not having enough! See, I am home schooled, so I do not have due dates. And I do not have lots of activities -- all I have is martial arts and chess. And I have just enough chores."
--Emma

"I never procrastinated before, but after grade 9, I learned to procrastinate. Now I do, and its addictive. I cant stop procrastinating."
--Jamie,

"I think that I should use a planner to organize school and home and extra-curricular. It probably would help."
--Monkey , 11

"No way! I don't have enough time to do the things I need to do, let alone what I wanna do! If only there were a few extra hours (or if I just moved faster, ha ha! Im like a sloth!)."
--Maya, 13

"What if you are addicted to watching TV for hours. You cant just stop. Its hard. Can you suggest some steps?"
--Miarah

"No, I don't feel like I have enough time to do all of the stuff that I have to do. But I think I can change it somehow."
--Christine, 9

"School is to headache as time is to stress."
--Jasmaine

"School is too stressful and we need some time off!"
--Jessica

"No, because Ive always got something to do because my parents keep me busy."
--Braden, 12

"No, because I have important stuff to do (calling friends, doing hw, watching TV, making notes, studying, writing notes to my boyfriend)."
--Christine, 10

"Just do your homework first. Get as much of it done at school as you possibly can. Don't procrastinate. Get your homework done as soon as you can, and you'll have time to do all the other stuff you want to. I just finished a book report, and it took an hour!!! I still have 2 more book reports to do. And a social studies project, science notes to take, math project, math extra credit thing, and I have to read part of Romeo and Juliet. I have so much homework!!! Do all the things that you think will take the longest first, and all of the more simple stuff after that."
--Ben

"Do all of your homework that is due tomorrow. If you have time, do stuff that is due a different day. Then, at the end of the week, you might feel relaxed. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY! If you get Study Hall try not to goof off or get distracted. I KNOW IT'S HARD! Get to know your teacher(s). Get advice from your teacher(s). Good Luck! Try to have fun! One of the best things to do is get a good sleep, get a good breakfast, and be in a good mood."
--Morgan, 10

"Do ur homework right when you get home from school, and then you would have time to do stuff you like to do."
--Jaide, 11

"You just need to get the really important things done, then if you have any extra time, do your other things on your schedule!! But when you have a lot of homework, try to get all the hard problems on your homework done first so you can go home and do the easy problems and still have time to do other things!"
--Taylie, 12

"No, I really don't, because I have to do homework, chores, clean up my room, wash dishes, and sometimes fix dinner."
--Princess, 13

"Now that Im in high school, time management is very important. What I do is do everything I can all at once and let everything else fall into place. I think I can use the time I spend on things better. It would really help!!"
--Jennifer

"I have to do my sight words but I'll have enough time, and hey, I think when you get it done Im sure you'll do what you want to do after your homework. And I totally know you'll get an A+ on your homework."
--Carly, 11

"Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Before I even had a student teacher, I didn't have enough time. Now I have my regular teacher back (thank god because she gave us a wheelbarrow of homework). My regular teacher, Ms. Wilson, is nice and doesn't give that much homework. I have time for everything. This weekend I don't have homework!"
--Lili, 10

"The first thing that you can do if you want to manage your time and all of your activities is create a planner. If that doesn't work, just start with what you think is most important and work it out from there."
--Bethany, 11

"I have too much homework each day. So far this year Ive gotten about thirty homework notices because of too much homework. I HATE IT! Someone better do something before I get a DETENTION!"
--Rogue, 12

"Sometimes it is sooo hard to manage my time between chores, homework, and sports. My teachers give us soo much homework. There isn't one night that I don't have homework!"
--Jessica, 13

"A good way to handle your time is to save unimportant things for after important things. Like if you know you have at least forty-five minutes of math, skip the TV shows and do your homework. It could really make a difference."
--Janie, 11

"My academic teacher in Language Arts gives out a ton of homework! What's worse is that I went to the strictest school in the district. I already deal with tough schools and I don't want it anymore!!"
--Michelle, 13

"Hey. Not to like tick some of you off because you seem to strongly believe that you don't have enough time to do stuff, but I do. Im a freshman in honors classes, I run track, Im president of Student Council and Im in a few other clubs too. Sometimes I worry that I won't have enough time to do everything, but I always do and I go to bed by 10 every night. You just have to do stuff ahead of time, like start studying for a test on Wednesday over the weekend. Maybe go out on Friday and study some Saturday, then go out Saturday evening, and study more on Sunday. See? School, sports, clubs, and friends all fit!"
--Farah

"I never have enough time to do all of my English, history & math. And now I have eating disorders and Im anorexic because I dont have enough time to eat."
--Nadine, 11

"I have no time at all to do the things that I want to do because I am always completely swamped with homework."
--Erin

"ALMOST every day of the week I come into school late. Its unfair that I have to miss out on all of the work just because I have to wait on my little sisters and brother. Heres some advice: stay organized, try to keep your schedule together, and try not to be late. I myself am starting to come on time. Sometimes I come early, but if I come late three more times my attendance card will be full. Then I will really get in trouble. They said they werent making any more attendance cards. Oh boy, I wont be able to go on the family trip to Disneyland. Ill stay in New York with Auntie Brenda. Ahhh!"
--Amira, 12

"My teacher gives so much history homework. The Math and ELA teacher give a lot more. It takes me from 4:00-6:30."
--Gregory, 9

"Hi guys. To be honest with all of you, no! There just are not enough hours in a day to do reluctantly 30 min. Each day of extra math, make my lunch for the next day, do between an hour or two of regular homework, baby-sit two kids 3 and 5 between 30 min and 3 hours a day, *talk on the phone to my BF's*( LOL), and eat dinner all in the 6 hours I have left over after school!!!! I have NO idea though how I can manage my time better though 'cause I am not sure how long everything will take!"
--Tasha, 10

"Well, I used to think that I didn't. I tried the time budget list, and I realized that if I just managed my time, then I'd be able to do everything (like practicing my flute and getting enough sleep). My biggest time waster is the Internet, so I guess if I just went on less, maybe I'd be able to manage my time!"
--Belinda, 13

"School isn't fair. We get home at 4:00, and we have dinner, chores, pets, and the adults say we have to go to bed early! Who has time to go to sleep? We don't have enough time! It's too much!"
--Abby, 9

"I can go do my homework and after that I can do the things I want to do at home."
--Carly, 10
