-- From Lizzie, 12

We got so many answers to this question that we ran out of room! Take a look at what others had to say, and send us your response on other topics.

Other "You Said It"
Topics in School:

“On Monday I have piano and swimming. On Tuesday and Thursday I just go to swimming. On Wednesday I go to church. On Friday I just hang out and play with my friends.”
--Alicia, 10

“At my school we call it ‘after school sports’ (because we are still in elementary school) and it's like gym class. Only..... we have 4th graders there too. It's okay.... right now we are doing basketball and it's really starting to get on my nerves. Or maybe it's just our gym teacher, Mr. J.”
--Janae, 11

“Oy, Robin: you play Neopets? Awesome, I do as well! Anyway, on most Tuesdays and Thursdays I do drama from 3:30 to 5:00. I go on some Sundays as well; I’m in the school drama production (The Wind in the Willows - I’m a stoat, which is an evil weasel-ish animal). The other days, after I do my homework I loiter around and annoy my little brothers to no end.”
--Phoenix, 11

“One of the worst things in school is one of the activities: four corners. Just don't e-mail me back k? Bye.”
--Cate, 12

“I do karate, Girl Scouts, book club and trumpet lessons.”
--Julia, 10

“Well, first of all, I am the same person as Kiera (9). With that out of the way, I dance Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and every other day I go to my grandparents' house, do my homework, do various things until my dad picks me up, go home, have dinner, play Neopets, go on IML (or some other website), read, and tell my dad all the reasons I should stay up just a little bit longer.”
--Kiera, 10

“I usually walk home with my friend from school and when I get home from school I eat.”
--Jessica

“Computer games, acting, and playing with mates.”
--S

“Netball, hockey, swimming and Judo. We don't cheerlead in South Africa.”
--Kate, 11

“The school play. Since I go 2 a middle/high school, the high schoolers get the main roles. This year we're doing The Wizard of Oz. The middle schoolers r munchkins, poppies, or flying monkeys. I’m a munchkin!!! I also do soccer and b-ball and softball.”
--Me, 12

“Read, skateboard, TV, computer, that kind of stuff.”
--Murr, 11

“I am in the drama club. We are putting on ‘The Pirates of Penzance.’ I am only a policeman, but at least I don't have to wear a skirt like the daughters! And I get to sing! As long as I am onstage, I am so in!”
--HarryPotter, 11

“So far I’m only in girl scouts.”
--Allison, 12

“I’m on the Snowboarding club, but I’m not athletic. I always wipe out, but I LOVE it!!!!!!”
--Michael , 12

"1. Hang with my family. 2. Chat on the computer with my friend Justin. 3. Talk to my other friend Sidney on the phone. 4. Call my grandparents. 5. Eat my dinner. 6. Go to sleep.”
--Lisa, 13

“I Play Neopets and watch Arrested Development and My Name Is Earl.”
--Robin

“I am into loads of sports so I go to netball club, hockey team training and athletics club (then I die of exhaustion! NOT.). But it's on different nights. Don't think I do all that and more in 1 day!”
--Helen, 11

“I’m not in it now, but last year I did track and the meet was soooo fun. So I’m doing it again but this year I’m not going to be a butt (annoyance) at the practices!!!!!!!!!”
--Chimpgirl, 11

“My after school activity is being a cheerleader. I enjoy it because I can make lots of new friends and let out some of my anger that I have during the school day.”
--Anonymous

“Nothing, but on Mondays I go home, do any kind of homework and watch TV until 9:00. Then I watch wrestling and then I go to bed at 11:00 every night. And sometimes I go shopping and look at lip glosses and talk on the phone.”
--Bethel, 10

“I play Runescape, then I go play outside, then I play with my new kitten and puppy.”
--Sabine, 8

“Soccer, youth group, and tons of school and club sports.”
--Lindsey, 13

“I’m in a girls' choir, in CT, and the rehearsals there are really plentiful. We have 5 hours a week and in December there's about 40 hours of singing. Other times in the year there are also concerts. Sometimes I think choir competes with my schoolwork, and there are other activities I want to try. I will probably be in choir next year, but in 9th grade I want to start prepping for AP courses, and AP courses don't match well with 5 hours of singing a week.”
--Anonymous

“Do you ever stay after school for detention?”

I’m in soccer, voice, the Junior High Drama Club, First and Second Grade Teacher Aide and a load of other stuff. It might seem like a lot, but it spreads out through the week so it’s OK. YOU SHOULD BE IN AS MANY AFTERSCHOOL ACTIVITIES AS YOU CAN. JUST MAKE SURE IT'S NOT TOO MANY!!”
--Esther, 11

“Piano, volleyball, dance, softball, swimming, violin, homework, hang with friends and stuff like that. Not all in one day though.”
--MeganandAlexis, 13

“My afterschool activities are to go home and help my little brother with his homework. Once we are done we go outside and play football or any other sport.”

--Lawryn, 8

“First I read and then practice homework then I do the real homework paper and then I eat a little snack. After that my friend always knocks on my door and we play Action Girls until I go home then I read some more books. My dad comes home after that and I work on math.”
--Hannah

“When I get home I'll do my homework, then I would just ride my bike around in the afternoon.”
--Shenerica, 10

"After School Activities r pretty fun, like at my school we have an after school activity where they teach u how to dance. We dance in front of people. It is so cool. I've been in it for two years already and it is so fffffffffuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
--Khrysten

"Ok, (deep breath) 6:00, wake up, feed the horses and dog, go 2 school, come home, ride, eat, ride again. FEED again, and FINALLY, flop into bed. Oh yeah, and if I wake up earlier, I have a morning ride too. LIFE ROCKS!!!”
--GodsGrl, 11

"I have drama club and then I play touch football with my friends and then we play baseball ‘till dinner. Then I study and read. I have a very busy schedule!!”
--Lizzy, 12

"I am over-scheduled. I have three after-school activities (one on Tuesdays, one on Wednesdays, and the other on Fridays) and I’m going to start a new one soon. And I go to an in-school program for kids whose parents work after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. No. 1: piano: go from in-school program, grab Burger King and scarf it down on the way to piano for half an hour lesson. Teacher's 20 min. late. Parent after me freaks out if her daughter’s late, so 10 min. lesson for me. Activity No. 2: collage. It helps with your ‘social skills’ (DO NOT NEED HELP WITH THEM). Anyway, same car routine as piano, then I go hour and a half collage (SO BORING), then come home to get a full-blown cross-examination of the day (same with piano, and my mom's ALWAYS skeptical when I did something good at piano). No. 3: Occupational Therapy: nothing fancy, not a big time-sucker and it just helps your strength. Oh, and what is soon going to be No. 4 is the YMCA. Hello! I have O.T. already. I hardly have any weekday free time. That's my life. Uh…IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG HERE!? After school activities own me, Lizzie! PS. I noticed that ever since I had this problem, my health has been failing. P. P. S. I am writing this way past my bedtime, but God knows my reason is noble, and I envy Monique (11). I REALLY need help.”
--Jonathan, 9

"Every Tuesday after school I have cheerleading practice. I cheer for the football players at my school! It is loads of fun! I love going into stunts (stunts are when you do really cool tricks in cheerleading). I really like going to the games. They’re loads of fun and another plus is the boy I love is on the football team. I will also cheer for the basketball season at my school! And the boy I like will be doing basketball too! --QueenKitten

"What I like to do after school is play basketball if it is nice out, or go to friends house, or stay home and play games on the computer.”
--Ashleigh, 12

"I’m not really involved in after-school activities. I've got a few rehearsals for the school production coming up after school, but I’m not too fussed about extra activities.”
--Monique, 11

"On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays I take dance, and I SO badly want to join the play even though 4th graders only get to be in the choir, since it might be my only chance because of dance. And next year I want to do science club, because the chances of getting in as a fourth grader are next to none. But sometimes after school I just eat a snack and work on my series of books.”
--Kiera, 9

"I am in art club, sewing club, standing ovations (singing/dance), I do youth group and I am the editor of my school newspaper. I am a busy bee!”

The reason was I play on a traveling basketball team for the high school and I had the State Tournament on the day of one of the performances. I was really mad. Well, I am just saying that you should join something after school, make new friends and have a nice time. In school right now, gotta go.”

But this year I want to join cheerleading (PLEASE don't think I’m a snob because of this. I’m not!). It just looks like fun to me. Also, I want to join this program that my school does called Odyssey Of The Mind. I don't know anything about it, but it sounds like something I'd be into! And I’m also thinking about joining the computer club. I LOVE computers, and I’m good at them (Not to brag).”

For example, this year we did an event that happened between 1200 and 1600 AD in the form of a television newscast.”

"Vanessa, NO ONE IS JEALOUS OF CHEERLEADERS! NO ONE! I don't hate you all for being cheerleaders, what I hate is when a lot of cheerleaders usually exclude the Normals, the (female) Jocks, the Goths, and the Shy Group. Then do my homework, watch TV, eat dinner, watch TV, and dribble a basketball inside the house or kick a soccer ball inside the house. Then I watch TV, throw a tennis ball at the wall lol if I’m bored, watch TV, plan my outfit for the next day, and do whatever I want the rest of the time.
