Discussion questions for kids to bring up with adults General Questions: Do we know any adoptive families or foster families? Have you ever thought about adopting a child? Why or why not?
What, if anything, do you know about my birth parents? Why did you want to adopt a child? Why me in particular? What do you remember about the time when you adopted me? What do I bring to this family that you wouldn't have if you hadn't adopted me? Can I always be honest with you about how I feel? If I even feel the need to contact my birth parents, or just learn more about them, will you help me do that? If I want, can we join a group specifically for adopted kids, so I can share my story with others who will understand?
