People compare themselves to others because they feel less then what they are. I say you should share your feelings and not care what anyone else says or thinks.

Im always comparing myself to others. I don't know why people say my life is great, I have friends, I go out to skateland on Fridays every week, I go to the movies once a week, yet I feel empty and weird inside, unlike others who are comfortable in their skin. My friend Ashley once FARTED AT SKATELAND IN FRONT OF HER BOYFRIEND and she said Oopps... and started to laugh then everyone forgot about it. If that were me I would be so embarrassed, though I've never farted in public, and I plan not to EVER ( I hold it in then it goes away) Im still not as confident. -_-'.

I always compare myself to others. It seems Im never as good enough for everyone else. Like Im not pretty enough, or skinny enough, or cool enough. But I have amazing friends that always tell me how great I am. They Say things to me like Emily I dont see where youre coming from with this. Maybe u need to see what I see." Stuff like that makes me feel so much better when I have my friends. Also I compare myself to others when they have boyfriends. Its like oh great Im the only single one but then I realize having a boyfriend isnt all that important.

Im way different than anyone else is at my school, I dress differently, listen to different music and all that stuff...People make fun of me...And it hurts, a lot. So sometimes I compare myself to other girls, thinking: maybe if I was more like them, more people would like me. But then I realize that Im not gonna change Me" into something Im not just so more people will like me. So dont change You" into something your not...If you do, then...Youre too weak to be your own person...And youre a follower, not a leader.

Yes, I do it constantly; however, I always stop myself when it goes to far. I always think, 'How much skinnier is she than I am? ' and 'He's a much better musician than I am. 'It gets to the point at which I sometimes am on the brink of forgetting who I am. I think part of it is that I have some really talented friends and classmates. There's a lot of competition between me and my best friend --She and I both draw and paint, play music, and write really well. So when it comes time to do any of those things, I always think, 'I have to do better at this than Lumin, ' or 'Lumin could do this way better than I ever could. ' I have to tell myself that as long as I am the best that I personally can be, I am outstanding. It works every time. As for comparing body image with others'...Anyone have suggestions as to how to get over it?

I had a dream that I was one of Hilary Duffs friends and we spent every day together. It was a big bummer when I woke up because I wanted it to be true but it wasnt! But then I realized that Hilary Duff probably wouldnt want to be my friend because I wasnt a celebrity. So I started to compare myself to other celebrities and that only made me feel worse about myself! I have been pretty sad ever since but once you realize that you are the best you and not the best someone else you can start to feel better!
