"I'm sitting alone, I don't know what to do.
The one thing I know is I really miss you.
You'd read me a book, while I'd sit on your lap.
What ever was wrong you could fix in a snap.
I know you are in a much happier place.
But what I want right now is to just see your face.
For you to be with me through good and through bad.
If you could be here I would feel oh so glad.
I know that can't happen, you're gone now for good.
But I just keep praying wishing you could.
You were part of my family and someone who cared.
With out you right close I sometimes feel scared.
I know that you're watching and reading this too.
So I just want to say that I really love you."

Although he had already had a near death experience before me and my sister were born, from which scared my family a lot, they never thought he would die of a stroke. At her funeral I saw my friend and sat with her. She was really helpful she told me to just think of the good times. I cried my eyes out. If u think it's weird for me to cry hysterically. Finally, after 2 months, my Dad dragged her into the car. I got dropped off at my friend's house, down the street. She was angry and didn't look at me or my dad as I said Good Bye. She went to the hospital. She was put in the ICU for very bad liver problems. She called the house one day and begged and pleaded for my dad to bring me to her. He didn't want me to see her like that so he said no. A few days later, I woke up and my dad and Godmother were sitting on the couch crying. Then the tears struck. "I have experienced death. My father died when I was seven months. I was in the hospital for about my first year because I was born three months early. I was fighting for my life. My father was cheating on my mother with my sister's mother in Jamaica. He died when I was seven months on a Jamaican highway. I have grown up knowing my brother's loving father. He has been so caring but, there was a part of me that wanted to know more about MY father. I had seen pictures of him and occasionally asked my mother about him. One faithful night that all changed. I was in my basement watching Grey's Anatomy. It was a very sad episode filled with death and pain. That got me thinking. Where is my dad? Could he ever come back? Why can't he be alive? I wanted to know. I went to my room struggling to hold back the tears. I went on my computer and came onto this very website about death as tears flowed. My mother walked in and asked me what was wrong. My stepfather was in the room when I said I missed my father. He almost walked out. My mother told me he would never come back. I can't wish he was here. I have to accept his death and move on. He was gone until I met him in heaven, if he was in heaven. My heart ached as I look back and realize that was one of the worst nights of my life. I want to know him. I want to really know him. He died at 32. I was so young and in the hospital that I couldn't go to his funeral. I miss my dad. I wish I knew him but, I know he's gone and however unfair I think that is sometimes. It's true. I miss you Prince ( He's not the singer! People always think that! ) May you rest in piece with GOD!"

"Well, I feel bad for all of the kids and people who had experienced someone die:) ( I had a dog, who I loved A LOT! She died! I think she died from eating a stick and it punctured her throat:) ( I cried for a while I was in kindergarten and I used to play a lot of games with her. I played tag and she chased me around! I don't get sad that much anymore because it has been six years. She was a black lab. When my babysitter was over I played with both of them at the same time! I had so much fun with that dog. It was my grandmother's dog. She buried her ashes and over the ashes and it said "If tears led a stairway to heaven. I would walk right up to you" that is at least what I think it said."

My mom was going to see my great-grandma[she lives in CA and the rest of us in IN] I begged my mom to take me with she said next time, well there was no next time! =[. When I went to her funeral it was first time I actually saw the person in the casket. She looked calm and I knew she had given up the fight. I cried, that is after the denial stage ended. My mom touched my great-grandmas hand I wish I had. I could not watch them lower her into the ground, how could they bury her. It rained, sleeted, and hailed, the world cried with me. If you used my story thanks if you read it thanks."

Besides, while she was alive, we had a lot of fun, but I never realized how much I loved her until she was gone. You see, the morning my parents put her to sleep I gave her a huge piece of toast. That was the last time I ever saw her alive. While I was at school, she fell and could not get up. My parents took her and put her down. Then they called the school and told my teacher to tell me I was getting a ride home. I got a feeling in the pit of my stomach and knew something was wrong. When I got to the car, they told me. I was a wreck. But I'm better now and have her ashes in my room. She will always have a special place in my heart, and I know my parents and other dog, Milo, miss her just as much as I do."

I had to stay with my mom's friend. Before she died I hugged her good-bye from the hospital and thought I would always remember it until she died."

"My grannu had a dog and it was a staffie and it was really only still a pup when we found out it had cancer because my granny found a lump on its neck and took it straight to the vet. He gave my us a choice of whether we wanted to give her chemotherapy or just tablets the tablets would keep her alive for 6 months or the chemo would have 8 months but my granny and grandma couldn't pay so much money but what they paid she was still going to die so they did the tablets and she stayed alive for a little bit more than 6 months I went to stay in my granny and grandpa's house when she was still alive I was so upset I had to come home 'cause I couldn't look at her I cried that night for about 5 hours then I remember coming home from school and my mum told me that she had to get put down I wasn't so sad at the start because it hadn't sunk in yet then I cried and cried 'cause everyone in my family are animals lovers and now sitting here typing this I am still crying and it was about 3 or 4 months ago but it was only before Christmas which made it worse and she was such a beautiful wee dog I loved her so much."

"Hi my names Jessica and I guess you're probably reading this because you have something that's bugging you or depressing you well all I want to say is that no ones perfect. One day I came home and I was getting yelled at like crazy so I just stood in my room all day without eating without anything I told myself everything was going to be ok but inside I knew it wasn't! I don't know I guess I was just crazy I told myself I was so depressed and I wanted to do something my friend had done this before so I thought it would be fine so I hurt myself It was probably one of the worst things I have ever done. I regret this so much I do! I wish I could take this back because it's so addicting I promised so many of my friends that I would never do it again and I failed! Your probably thinking wow she's stupid and yes I am please don't make the mistake that I did don't do it you have a long ways to go don't ruin it: ]] it's a horrible feeling waking up every morning feeling like you haven't done it and it was all a dream but then you look at your wrist and you realize it wasn't don't do it, do you honestly think it's going to help you with it's not your just hurting yourself."

My aunt was really close to me because my mom and my dad split up when I was young and my aunt was like a mom to me. But then I realized that God probably needed her badly, and I can't undo stuff that's already done. So next time your feeling down and upset, remember this: That person that died is always in your heart and He or she is always looking down at you. <3"."

"In May of 2004 my Grandfather died. He died 3 days after my birthday. I hate him for leaving me. I graduate next year and what hurts the most is that he won't be there to see me being handed my diploma and then shake our principals hand and he won't get to celebrate with us after at dinner. I feel like it is my fault that he is dead. The last thing I ever said to him was goodbye. My Mom and I were visiting them and then we packed up and left and I hugged him and said I love you Grandpa. He died a week later. I cry all the time still. I will always him no matter what."

"My older brother died at 24. I wish we were closer, but I didn't understand why he never really liked me until I got older and realized that he picked on me because he loved me very much. I regret saying awful things to him when we were younger, and now I live with this terrible guilt and sadness in my heart. I think about him in my dreams, yet I have no one that I can open to and be vulnerable. The only time I cried publicly was at his funeral. That hurt so much because the last time I saw him, I couldn't even ask him how he was doing. Now I go on, asking God for forgiveness and hoping that I can go on with a normal life without thinking about his death every day. I really need help getting over it. Problem is, everyone around me thinks I'm already over it. I can't even sleep alone at night without thinking that he's watching me. In my dreams, he keeps telling me that he forgives me, but I can't believe it. He was depressed, and I feel like I contributed to his depression. I'm so sad, and afraid that I may never truly get through this. I don't want to be 40 and still thinking about this in such a negative way."

"When I was 10 years old, my grandma was really sick. She went to the hospital multiple times, but she was 81...We transferred her to a new home. There, she celebrated her 82 birthday. Then she went somewhere else. There it was very homey, but she broke her hip there. Then we brought her to a place called Hospice. We had lunch there almost every day. One day when we were getting lunch, my dad told me that Hospice is a place where people can die peacefully. When he told me that, I almost broke into tears. 16 days after her birthday (4 days after being there) I was at home watching T. V. Then my mom came into the house and told us that grandma died. I burst into tears. She was the most important person I looked up to...But then I was happy. I was happy because she did not have to be in pain anymore."

(I have a knot in my throat just thinking about losing another pet my family loves animals they grow happy then die of old age this is the number of pets we had that died, 36, my mom told me) and I will most likely cry for a week straight and if my friends ever talk about pets I would tear up remembering him. "I lost my cousin a little over a year ago. She died in a car accident. The roads were icy and she wrecked into a bridge. I thought for sure she would live 'cause when my mom told me she said she had 2 collapsed lungs 2 broken legs and broken ribs and the first thing I thought was that's not as bad as it could be and that she would be ok. Then the news came. She could be bleeding in her head and could be brain dead. First thought was if she dies I will too. Then they told us she was 99% brain dead and if she survived there was no help for her. So they pulled the plug. Turned the life support off. Killing her. I still don't understand why it had to happen. She truly was the best person I knew. She loved everyone and was never negative. She meant a lot to my whole town. At her funeral the church was made to hold 100-200 and there were about 500 people there telling you how much she was loved. But the one thing I remember the most is the last time I saw her. It was her birthday December 30, 2006 14 days before she died. I still remember that she hugged everyone but me. I mean I talked to her and everything but I didn't get to hug her. And that is the only memory that sticks in my head to this day of her. The worst memory of all I remember. It stinks a lot but I know she isn't suffering but I don't believe you could ever give me a reason to believe that this had to happen. I mean I told my little cousin that maybe God thought we needed a guardian angel to look over us and she would be perfect for the job but I cant convince myself of that."

"I have a friend whose aunt died just recently. She's been wearing black all week. She's not becoming a goth. It's just her way of grieving. Her mother isn't letting her go to her funeral, which is wrong because she really wanted to go. She feels that she is being blamed for her mom's problems, and ever since her aunt died, she feels that her family life is suffering. It's really sad. I hate when people die. I just try to listen to her and try not to upset her or make her sad. It's the least I can do to help her because she's a great friend. I wish her and her family the best."

"Yes, I've experienced grief. But not as bad as my brothers! My brothers' grandpa died. We were going to Indiana for my brother Patrick's wedding. When we got to the hotel, we got a call from them. Their grandfather lived in Florida, and they were driving to the wedding. Their grandfather (who was not related 2 me) said he couldn't make it, because he wasn't feeling good. On the way back, he died. I felt so bad for them because it was one day before David's (My other brother's) birthday, and 3 days before Patrick's wedding! As for me, my Aunt died unknowingly. She had ADD and had it for about 2 years. My uncle and my cousin were out for dinner. They found her laying in the middle of the couch. It was sad, and I was also worried, because my dad went to Iraq, so I was afraid that he would die. But he is ok. :)."

"My dad just passed away suddenly from bleeding in the brain after surgery. I remember just after surgery he was fine, talking making jokes with the nurses, anything he could do to make us feel that everything would be ok...The next thing I know he was on life support and we had to make the decide to take him off. That was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I didn't want to let him go but I couldn't see him connected to all those machines. I can't deal with it."

"My grandfather died about a year ago, and I felt like about half of me was missing. I never really talked to him, and I don't really know why. But now I feel really guilty. If god is up there and everyone says he saves people, then why didn't he save my grandfather, and all the other people that have passed away? So now whenever I see my grandmother, I cry because she's all alone in the house. I LOVE YOU grandfather. --Shermaine."

"My cousin just died last year and it was on Friday the thirteenth an I miss him so much. And I never even once told him I loved him, and I rarely hugged him. And I do love him but now he's gone and I cant see him even once just to tell him. I just can't get over it and everywhere I go and everything I see just reminds me of him. What can I do?!?!?!?"

"My Aunt died when I was 10, and I couldn't let it go. She died of breast cancer, but by the time the doctors removed that part, it had spread to the rest of the body. I couldn't stop crying, I remember Mum telling me about her death and I didn't talk to anyone for a few days. I loved her so much, and still do."

"Yes, I have lost someone that I loved deeply. He was a boy that went to my school. He was always picked on, but he always smiled at everyone in the hallways and said hi to all of the teachers. I had a big crush on him, but, as terrible as this sounds I didn't want to be made fun of. I didn't say anything, but day after day, when I heard someone saying something about him, I would find myself sticking up for him. He moved away then. I never saw him again. Then one morning, these people came into our classroom and told us. He had died the night before. It was an unexpected death. We were all horrified. I especially. I didn't want to talk about it to anyone though, so I didn't. That is the worst thing that I could have done. Don't be embarrassed. It's ok to cry. I am sorry that I never told him how I felt. I wish that I would have stuck up for him more. But I can't change the past, only the future. If you love someone, tell them. You never know how long you have. His memory will be alive in me forever..."

She listened me she never hurt a fly! I loved that dog I had also been with her my whole life. When I found out that she had two tumors and cancer it broke my heart to know that she needed to get put to sleep. "I lost both of my parents a month apart. My dad from cancer and my mom was unknown. She was on the way to pick us up from school and they found her by her car. It was even harder on my little brother. We had no nearby relatives so a teacher from my school (I was in the 7th grade and my brother was in 4th grade) said her little sister had no children and no husband and had always wanted children but not babies. I now live with her and call her aunt Sadie. My brother is doing great and I know my parents are in a better place. I feel like they are always watching over me. I know there are other kids out there who have lost both parents but maybe even at the same time. I know it can be hard sometime but you have to keep going and remember those who are close to you even though they aren't right next to you. I feel your pain. Lots a luv!"

"It's January the fifth, and I just heard that my sister's boyfriend died today. We took her back home yesterday, and then today her boyfriend died. I feel really sad because when ever she was talking to him on the phone I got jealous, because she ALWAYS used to talk to him on the phone, so I picked up the other phone and said "I hate you, my sister loves you more than she loves me...I wish you would die!" I feel so bad. I didn't even know him (I only talked to him twice on the phone and saw his picture), and I feel hurt inside and I can't stop crying. I feel like this is all my fault, what do I do? I'm so sad."

"I lost my mom in November to heart disease. She battled this condition for about 2 years, and a third heart attack killed her 10 days after my 19th birthday. I felt like it was my fault because she died and I had thought about committing suicide several times after she passed. However, this wasn't my fault, and I miss her every day. Now I also know suicide is never the answer to a problem, and my friends and family would be devastated if I did that. Anyway, rest in peace and enjoy heaven, Mom."

My other grandpa had to die 'cos he had so many sickness that the doctors cant do nothing=[."

"When I was 7, I was in school and my dad came in and told me to pack up and come with him. I did that, and we drove home in silence. We came to my house, and I was just thinking, "What's going on?" my whole family was in my house, and my mom looked at me and said that my grandpa had died around 1:00, and at that time it was 2:00! She told me that he just died because he had cancer, which surprised me because I didn't even know. About two hours later, my friend Samantha knocked on my door and she was holding a big basket for me. Inside, there was a little stuffed cat, (my favorite animal) and a little tube of chocolate covered pretzels. She said "I'm so sorry your grandpa died" IML, please post this!"

"Yes, my father, my grandfather, great-grandfather, and my mom's friend Mark. I remember my father picking me up and putting me on his shoulders. So many people remember him, I was only 7 going to turn 8 that year. I was so sad when he died. Ever since he died I have felt this present, and I have had many dreams about my father since he died he was so special to me. My father died in an explosion at his grandfather's house. Everyone but him lived. When my grandfather died I wasn't as sad because I know he was in a lot of pain and missed my father very much. I remember being spoiled rotten by him. He died in a hospital of pneumonia. My great-grandfather I didn't really know him partly because he wasn't my great-grandfather at all he was just my grandmother's step-father. My mom's friend Mark was a very kind man who loved his wife very much. He was his wife's high school sweetheart and was still in love with her. He died of a heart attack. I have attended many other funerals, how many funerals I have attended most people shouldn't attend that many 'til maybe even their early 50's. My Father (died in 2003) My Grandfather (died in 2003) My Great-Grandfather (died in 2007-I think) Mark (died in 2007)."

Some drunk driver killed him and is now in jail for it. My mom was really sad for about a month, and I was too even though I didn't know him that well. But I do remember that he had this really cool house and I would go over there with my sibs sometimes when my parents went out or something. He was really nice and always bought treats for us when he knew that we were coming over. I really miss him even though I didn't really know him all that well..."

"This is a little personal, but my cousin committed suicide when I was 9, only because he got mad. We hoped he'd get better, but there wasn't enough blood in him that he could live. What I remember the most about him was that, he always kissed every little kid's cheek, whenever he saw them. It's not very easy going through that, but now every year in the Summer, we go visit his grave. I miss him!"

"When I was one month old, my grandpa died from a heart attack. I barely knew him, but I still wish I could've gotten to know him. When I was seven, my mom's friend's husband died of liver failure. It doesn't sound like I'd be very close to him, but I was. I remember the last time I saw him, he looked so sick, and the last thing he said to me was "Can I have back my fuzzy yet?" (Long story. It was a joke we shared. I wish more then anything that I could hear him say that one more time). When I was nine, my older sister (age 24 at the time) died on August 24, 2003. I don't like to talk about that. The same year, my pet goat died the day after Christmas (-sarcasm- what a great Christmas present. -/sarcasm-). And then, on August 17, 2007 (on my friend Brett's b-day), my grandma Bonnie died. I think she's the one I've cried the most for, because I knew her the best. But all of these people (and animal) that died, I loved them all SO MUCH."

They were pulling around the corner when a flash freeze happened. They slid right in front of a bus. Janise (auntie) screamed. The bus ran into Janise's side and killed her. I woke up to a sunny day. My mom was beside me. She told me the story. I cried so hard. I was around 9. My grandma died 2 years before and I felt like I was causing their deaths...I am heart broken. : (."

"Well it was my grandfather who died. He was a loving and caring person. He was maybe about 87 when he died. He had his own farm and loved to play music and make music with his guitar. Sometimes he just sat in the little shed he had and sang songs to my grandmother. To tell the truth I did something that I wasn't supposed to do. I talked back to him. But then a few days later he told me stories about how someone stole money from his wallet. It was funny and interesting at the same time. But I had to go back to Canada since school was starting in September, so I left and said bye to my cousins and of course my grandma and grandpa. 5 months passed and I was in grade 4. On a Saturday morning I woke up from my mom's whining. I ask her what's wrong and she said my grandfather died because he got hit by a car. I was surprised and angry and sad at the same time. I then thought of him just sitting in his shed singing songs while the rain was pouring down from the sky. I then got tears rolling down my eyes. Then I just burst out with oceans of tears. I never forgot that day. And at least I knew he was in a better place that he was dreaming of for his whole entire life: HEAVEN...GOD PLEASE TAKE CARE OF HIM."

"My friend's cousin Morgan Alexis Brown died at age 14 on October 26, 2007. This post might be considered "Scary" for some people so only read this if you think you should. It all started on a Tuesday evening in the beginning of September when Morgan caught her boyfriend with another girl. A little whiles later her father lost his job. During all this Morgan was under the abuse of drugs. Things got worse. Morgan's mother died one day when she was at school. Her father was too poor and too sad that he was unable to take care of Morgan. Morgan was then brought to foster care about three hours away from where me and my friend live. There she was treated unfairly and punished for things she didn't do. She was only fed supper and sometimes lunch. How did she afford drugs? sadly she stole money from her father. The last money her father had. With all the guilt and pain she felt, she took an overdoes on the drug. She sadly died that cold Friday night. May you rest in peace Morgan Alexis. We miss you. ^j^^j^^j^^j^."

She's in a wheelchair but the next day me and my class came out from the computer lab, a couple of Jezz's friends were crying, I asked Mrs. Wanser "What happened?" Mrs. Wanser said "I'll tell you when we get back to class." so when we got back to class Mrs. Wanser said "Jezz died." I burst out crying. So every time I talk about Jezz I cry. I miss you Jezz!"

"My grandma died just 9 months ago and she died of cervical cancer. And she was very very sick. And the last few weeks of her life she was sitting in my grandpa's chair. She died Monday, February 12, 2007. I was in school and apparently my sister and my cousin Jennifer were getting stuff for my cousin Jennifer to sleep over and my mommy and my grandpa were at my grandpa's house. And my aunt was pregnant at the time so she was at home and my little cousin Jake was at daycare, and my uncle was at work, and my brother was at work. And so was my daddy and the nurse that came to the house to monitor my grandma had just gave her a bath and a little while later she passed away. And a preacher was there when she died so my mom called my aunt, my cousin, my sister, my dad, and my uncle and brother and when she called my daddy she said "Alan, please go pick up Brianna. Mom died and I don’Äôt wanna leave Dad." So I was actually surprised my dad came to pick me up. And when I got home everyone was sitting on the porch and I was thinking in my head "Why is everyone here?" And my mom sat me down and said grandma had died, and I started to just break out in tears because she didn't want me to walk in the house and wonder where grandma was. So my mom told me I can go to my friend Samantha’Äôs house to play, and when I got there Samantha was in a black dress and she said "I'm sorry about your grandma." And she gave me a bag and it had makeup and a lot of pretty stuff. And we hung out and then walked to my friend Breanna's house who lives right across the street from me. And she gave me a card and a stuffed dog and we hung out till pretty much nighttime. And when they went home I just went on about my business. And that is the day my grandma died. And now I am in middle school and I’Äôm just trying to survive that."

"My rabbit Taloola died on the 10th of November 07. I miss her so much. My mum told me to think of all the good times we had but that makes me cry to because I wish I could do them all again. I buried her in my back garden. I remember my dog used to lick her to death. He stopped and looked at her and began to cry. I feel like it was my fault. I forgot about her a lot. I thought she would always be there. "You gave her the best life you could." my mum told me, "And no one could have given her one like that but you." I feel like I could have made it better sometimes. She always ran up to the cage door when someone walked in. I sometimes think she is still there, and say goodnight to her. I miss her so so much."

"I'm sad because my nana's cat Jessi died September 30th. She had a bunch of fluid in her lungs. So they decided to put her to sleep. I found out about a week after she died because I was on vacation and they didn't want to ruin it for me. I cried for a loooooooooong time and I still cry a lot. Sometimes I just want to die because I miss her so much. I know she's in a better place. I had my dog Smoky die on my birthday when I was 2 she was sick and my nana's dog died when I was 4 because he was old about 13 years old. I know she's in a better place. I love you and miss you Jessi!"

"When I was 7, my dad died of cancer. I'm not quiet sure what caused it, but it did that on off thing though. It was there, then went away, then came back again. My dad had 8 surgeries, and none of them worked. My mom told me that he was at the hospital, and that they couldn't take care of him. That he wasn't coming back, EVER. I cried and cried and cried. I'm still not over it. I've lost too much in my life! It makes my life harder. Most of the time I was alive, he had surgery and the cancer became known when I was 3...I hated it sooo much when my mom told me that he died!! I can't take this anymore! It's torture."

"I have experienced death before. My great aunt died at the age of 98. That was a week or so before her sister's birthday. When her sister died she was 102 1/2! When my mom called me to tell me. We were at a parking lot and I started to cry. I remember a lot of things about both of my aunts. My favorite thing about my 98-year-old aunt was that she painted. And my other one was very kind and took care of her sister. I miss both of them a lot!!! : (."

"My grandmother died when I was 7 and she basically was my best friend, but no one really paid any attention to her because she was deaf and blind. But the up-side is that she had a hearing aid so she could hear me, but not well. She couldn't see me but she knew my voice. It was like an answering machine how she would repeat me. When she died it was like losing a friend more than a grandma."

"Well my most miss memory is my father because, well I really didn't get to know him but I want to, because well, all the great things my family get to tell me about him in my home town Enfield, NC. But mostly what hurts me inside the most is why he deceased at such a way-too young age. I really miss him a lot. I can't believe he passed on that day September 30, 2004. It's really hard to say what happened because it's indescribable, but really I don't know how it happened. But all I know is that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I still miss my dad, though. It's really hard to move on in life without a dad with you. My step-dad says he's here for me, though. I'm glad I have a step dad by my side..."

"Though I had found my Granddad's death horrible, then another one had struck: Kasey R's Grandpa, Chief had died from battling lung cancer. I always had known he was a very wonderful and colorful neighbor and pal to my parents and my retired sitter, Holly. It was so horrible. I felt Kasey and Holly who were both needing my comfort because both of them were bawling terribly like a hand of pain suddenly grabbed at my own girl pal's heart and shredded it for hours. Holly was so unhappy I thought it would flood so badly that she would not get over it. I would hate to lose Holly. Kasey also means a lot to me. What happens when your heart gets shredded?"

"One night I was watching a show with a whole bunch of doctors and a lot of people were dying. It got me thinking about my father who died when I was one year old. I started wondering what my life would be like if he was alive. I started crying and crying. I went up to my room when my mother and step dad came in. She asked me what was wrong and I told her I was thinking about my father. My step father said nervously "I guess I should leave now." My mother told him to stay. "I just recently lost my grandma in April. She was walking her poodle, when all of a sudden, she felt sick and her heart hurt. I had to be taken out of school because my mom didnt know if she would be back. When she got to the hospital, they didnt accept her. She had to go to another one. They ran a LOT of tests on her. They said that during the night, they would fly her to another hospital because they dont do heart surgery there. The next day, we visited her. They were just going to start heart surgery when my grandma told me "Dont worry Emily, I wont die." When they started, they almost lost her. After the surgery, they told us what she had. She had some scars from recent heart attacks. They told us that she had a heart attack when she barely had gotten to the hospital. The surgery had gone a success. They were moving her to the recovery room. Everyone was thrilled that she had lived. A few days passed. She was getting better. Then one day, she had just taken a bath (I was with her) when she was walking out with her walker, the nurse was there helping her, when she told us that she couldnt move her leg. Then she fell down and was unconscious. Then, the nurses told us to go to the waiting room. When we were there, we heard a lot of talking on the speaker saying "Code red on blablabla" we were scared. It wasnt till about 10 minutes later till they told us what happened. They started from the beginning until my aunt stepped in and asked the doctor "So are you saying she is dead?" The doctor slowly replied, "Yes." My family started crying. Then, we went into the room where she had remained. She had a tube down her throat and she was wearing a big bandage around her head. We were in there for about one hour or two. After that, I stayed at home for the week because I couldnt stop crying. When I went back to school, I had to see the counselor because my mom thought that Id been acting different and being sad and not replying when told about it. I miss my grandma a LOT."

"I have lost a great grandmother before (sniff) and I barely knew her. And her name was Brownie H. She was the mother of my granddad, whose name is Ronald Eugene E. And just a few months ago his dad died. Well I wish I had maybe all my life with them. If you want to know two things I remember of her- 1: her last words I remember was "When I get better I’Äôll come to your house." Sniff. 2: when she was in the hospital I sang a song called Some Glad Morning and she opened her eyes. It is so, so sad when you lose something. My grandfather is so, so upset. So are my uncles and mom. And that is what I have to say, and to remember. Thank you for listening, and I am sorry for your loss."

My grandpa died bcuz he had cancer. I love him very much bcuz I know that he loves me. When he thinks of me he thinks wonderful thoughts. And when I think of them both I think of them on a golden swing covered in roses with them on it. I’Äôm crying right now. "Me and my mother were just applying a ticket to the Philippines. Then when the day came it was time to go to the Philippines. And when we arrived at the Philippines airport my two aunts came to pick us up. Then Aunt Emma was discussing something. Then I saw my mother crying. I said "What happened?" she said what happened. She said that my grandmother was sick in the hospital. Then we went to the hospital. Uncle Savyo drove us there. Then we went to the room 104. Then we saw my grandmother lying down. Then my mother sat beside her crying. Then I slept (morning). I woke up. Mum was still crying. Then Aunt Emma said it was time to go to her home. Then we arrived at her house. Then it was night and time to sleep. Then it was morning. Then when I woke up, every body was wearing black. Even I was wearing black! Then we went to the Manoag church. Then it was time for the prayer. It was a group of people. Then we got to my other aunt’Äôs house. It’Äôs near the church, actually. Then it looked like a party from morning ’Äòtill night. Then I woke. Every body was laughing because of some old guy singing funny to an old lady. Then it was time to bury my grandmother’Äôs dead body. Then it was kind of big. The cemetery looked like where Michael Jackson danced Thriller!"
