This Month's Question
Dear IML,
My 12-year-old daughter has been looking up depressing poems on the Internet, and writing those kinds of poems. And lately she has been really rude and back-talking to me, or yelling at me when I just asked her a simple question. Also on one of her quizzes at school, they had to write a poem. So she wrote a depressing poem about hurting herself, darkness, and how people don't understand her. So they called her to the office and the office called me and told me. One thing I can think of, why probably she is acting this way is that we recently moved to a different town and this was her first time moving. And when I try to talk to her, she always says she's busy doing something. Can you please tell me how to help my daughter?
