Here's a great screensaver with a built-in game of catch. You can download it and install it on your computer you dont have to be connected to the Web to make it work. When it's running, you can follow the help instructions to play or press any key on your keyboard to stop it.
Just choose the kind of computer you have:
Windows version |
Macintosh version
Download for Windows 95/98/2000/NT/XP 2.0 MB
- Click above to download "install.exe" (Win 95/98/2000/NT/XP only). Save it to the hard disk, not a floppy disk. Be sure to save it where you can find it later, such as on the Desktop.
- Next, double-click install.exe, which installs the screensaver onto your Windows computer.
- Go to your computer's Start menu, then to Settings, then open the Control Panel window. (Windows XP users: go to the Start Menu, then directly to the Control Panel.)
- Double-click the Display icon.
- Select the Screen Savers tab at the top, and find Arthur in the list.
- Click on Test (or Preview) to play it immediately. You can also change the settings, such as how long to wait before it starts.
- If it doesn't work, write to us.
Download for Macintosh OS8/OS9 2.2 MB
- Click above to download "arthur.sit.hqx". Save it to the hard disk, not a floppy disk.
- Use a utility like Stuffit ExpanderTM to decode it into just Arthur_and_Pal_ScreenSaver (this may happen automatically). If you have trouble locating the file that you downloaded, use Sherlock (click on the desktop and choose "Find..." under the "File" menu) to find it.
- Drag Arthur_and_Pal_ScreenSaver into the Control Panels folder within your System Folder.
- You'll need to restart your Mac in order for it to work.
- By opening the Arthur_and_Pal_ScreenSaver you put in the Control Panels folder, you can change its settings (such as the "Sleep Now Corner" of your screen that starts it immediately if you move the mouse there).
- If it doesn't work, write to us.
