I picked these terrific habitats for the Alpine Phloxum because they each provide food, water and shelter for the animals and their babies. Here are examples from each habitat:
The Alpine Phloxum in Magicluv's habitat eat leaves that have fallen to the ground in late fall and then hibernate all spring and summer. Roro02's phloxum eat Twicch-grass on Mt. Matterhorn's north slope.
Limeade5678 has the phloxum living in a cave while Kbowles' phloxum protect themselves by grouping the herd around its weakest members. In CariKid's habitat, the phloxum hide in forest thickets when predators are around.
The phloxum in Jammer2000's habitat raise their babies in small holes beneath tree roots. Song1999's phloxum raise their babies in a cave, while in the habitat drawn by Chloe84, the phloxum babies stay safe in a nest under a cliff.
In the habitat drawn by Imanjikian the phloxum drink water dripping from melting icicles and LibbyLu's phloxum drink from a mountain river. KittyGirl55 has the phloxum eating snow in the winter for water when their pond freezes over. In Aquaclaw's habitat, the phloxum dig deep in the sand for water to drink.
Each of these habitats has everything these animals need to live. Thanks for your help!
