In this painting, the Alpine Phloxum is a newly discovered species of deer. It thrives out in forest fields, eating tree bark and grass, and climbing nearby mountains to its heart's content. It can drink and swim in the pond located near the edge of the forest. When predators are around, it can hide in the forest thickets. They often keep their children in the thickets for safety untill the kids are old enough to fend for themselves.
