So, how can you power down?

• Don't unplug your refrigerator, big appliances or alarm clocks.
• Turn out the lights when you leave the room.
• Replace incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs.
• Think of ways to use electronics or appliances less than you do now.
• Turn off the TV when no one's watching it.
• Turn off your computer when you're not using it.
• Don't leave electronics plugged in unless you're using them.
• User power strips to make powering-down vampire electronics easier

You want to do even MORE?

• Go outside and play.
• When you use electricity, think of ways to use less of it.
• Dry your clothes on a clothesline instead of a clothes dryer.
• When your family buys new appliances, make sure they are energy efficient.
• Get your friends and family to join the challenge!
