michel‚ IL | Rocks
I found a type of rock that I call dynamite rock because when you throw it on the ground it leaves a little bit of red powder. To bad I cant put up a picture of it so you all can see it!

hi i wanted to tell you about sandstone. I found sandstone at a beach. It chips off very easily and one time I found it at an old Army fort.

Kaycee, AB | Rocks
In chemistry, we are learning how to make crystals. It's really cool, right now, we're making edible crystals.

Hi, I made rock(crystal) candy in second grade and boy was it good! it tasted like cotton candy! we had it on a string until it formed. people should try different experiments.

Dylan | Rocks
I did an experiment on rock candy. First, we dissolved sugar in water. Then we put three pieces of string in the pot of sugar water and then rolled the string in plain sugar to "seed" it. After hanging the string in a jar, we poured the rest of the sugar water into the jar. By the time one week was over, the jar was completely covered in crystals. There were so many crystals, the string was stuck and we couldn't get it out to enjoy the candy.

Lydia, NC | Rocks
I tried to grow crystals in a jar lid like I saw on Dragonfly TV but nothing is happening. It has sat there for about a week now. Can you tell me what I did wrong?

Stephanie | Rocks
I have been studying all kinds of rocks and where they are on the gray scale. In case you don't know the gray scale is a scale which shows how much silica is in each kind of rock. Also, a group from my science class is building a life size model of the earth we're not done yet, but I can't wait to see when its finished! Good luck on your show!

Alex, MO | Rocks
To cut a rock without a saw you might try using water. Pressurize the water until it will cut through your rock.

DragonflyTV | Rocks
That's right, Alex, and you can see that happen in show #105 of DFTV. Or see it on our website!

i know how to make smarties candy.do you? if you dont heres how get 1/2 cup of sugar grind it up intill it turns powdery . if you want color and fruit flavor just add before you grind.

Sandy, NV | Rocks
My sister and I make rock candy. We dissolve sugar in a glass and tie a string to a pencil. Then we dangle the string in the sugar water. After a few days or weeks, rock candy forms. It’s really cool.
