- In this two-part challenge, the teams must build go-karts and then race them on an off-road course! In the first part, the teams worked fast to design and build their go-karts. Now it's time to try them out on the race course!
- Deysi and Kim take turns test-driving the go-kart. Kim makes it to the end of the course a few seconds faster than Deysi, so Kim will get to drive in the final race. The Green Team's go-kart is fast and fun to drive. They feel ready to race!
- After their test drive, Green Team decides to tape some foam tubing around the frame of their kart. This will help to keep them from slamming their bodies into the hard metal frame of the kart when they drive it over the rocky course.
- In the final race, the teams will take turns. Each team takes two laps around the course. The team with the fastest total time wins. Kim and Leah start off for the Green team. They make it quickly around the course, and get all the flags. Then Jason and Deysi jump on. They get stuck in the mud pit, but Deysi pushes them out. They make it around the course and get all the flags.
- Green Team's total time is 12:28, making them the winner of this challenge! That means Leah is the winner of this season of Design Squad! Both teams congratulate each other on a job well done.

- The Purple Team takes their go-kart for a test drive. First Dewey and Nick take a lap around the course. Then Trejonda and Tomas drive the second lap. Purple team feels good about their kart's design, and can't wait to face off against the Green team.
- During the test drive, they bumped into the kart's metal frame a lot. Ouch! Purple Team decides to cover the frame of their kart with foam tubes. The padding will make it a little less painful to bump against.
- It's the final race. Green team raced, and now its Purple team's turn. Trejona and Nick start out fast, but then get stuck in a mud pit! Tomas pushes them out of the mud, and then they continue on the course, grabbing flags on the way. Dewey and Nick jump in next. They don't get stuck, but can they beat Green Team's time?
- Purple Team's total time is 14:35, just a little bit longer than Green Team's. Purple team loses this challenge, but are proud of their car and had tons of fun building it. Both teams congratulate each other on a job well done.
