We came to know him not only as a man with huge talent but also as the very embodiment of Clifford's generous spirit and unconditional love. His contribution to the world of children will be felt for years to come.

Emmy award-winning actor John Ritter came to national prominence as the star of television's Three's Company, Hooperman and Hearts Afire, and starred in more than 25 television movies, including Unnatural Causes, Stephen King's It, and A Child's Wish, which featured a special appearance by President Clinton. John also appeared in numerous motion pictures, including They All Laughed, Noises Off, Problem Child, Skin Deep, Sling Blade and Tadpole. His stage work included Love Letters, The Glass Menagerie, as well as a starring role in the Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and Broadway runs of Neil Simon's play, The Dinner Party. This fall, John returned to ABC in the show 8 Simple Rules... A native of Los Angeles, John was the younger son of Western film star and country music legend, Tex Ritter. He graduated from Hollywood High School and the University of Southern California with a BFA degree in drama.
