Mystery Box
In each episode, the children give a present to the Storypeople. That gift is wrapped in a colorful, decorated box that matches the shape and size of the object inside. So, for example, a large, thin rectangular box holds a bed, while a thin cylinder holds a jump rope.

Directions
Introduce a mystery box like the gift boxes that the children in Boohbah give to the Storypeople. Place an object inside the box and let your child guess what it is. Use physical cues first, like the size of the box, how heavy it is (weight), and what kind of noise it makes if she shakes it (as long as contents are not fragile!). Then encourage her to ask yes or no questions about it until she figures out the mystery.
You can make the mystery box part of your regular routine by choosing an object that relates to something you and your child will do that day.
Talk About It
Help your child develop vocabulary by asking him describe the shape and size of the box, e.g., “This is a small cube.”
