Memory Game
Episode # 135. Island
In a large circle-shaped box, the children give the Storypeople a small Island. Brother and Sister want to run and find a way off the island, but no matter which direction they head, they find water. So the children give them a chain. The chain is attached to a plug. When Brother and Sister pull, the stopper comes up and all the water goes down a drain. Now they can run wherever they want!

Directions
With the entire family, play a memory game. The first person starts by saying "I am going on vacation to an island I am taking with me a ______." The next person repeats what the first person says and adds her own item. The game continues as long as the player gets the entire list that preceded them correctly. Allowances might be made for young children, who are not able to recall very long lists. They might simply be required to repeat what the person before them said or the items they had added previously before adding an additional item.

Talk About It
While viewing the Island episode, you might start a conversation by asking your child: "How would you get off the island?" As you talk about the things on screen, you can help expand your child's vocabulary by alternating the words you use with their synonyms. In the Island episode you might describe the chain as being attached to a plug or a stopper.
