TOP STORY: The Future is Now!
By Buster Baxter

Buster Baxter's Byline Picture I'm writing this on my living room floor in December 2006. But you're reading it in 2007! That's the future! Hmm... I wonder what the future will be like...

Flying bikes:
Of course, the first thing is: flying bikes! If you're riding one in the future, make sure to wear your helmet. You don't want to get hit in the head by a bird. And remember: always keep to the right when flying through clouds.

My Food Collection:
I'm sure that my Food Collection is now world famous. Presidents of all nations come to my house every day to learn the latest sandwich science. (Which reminds me, I'd better clean my room NOW, before they get here. Presidents will not want to see my dirty laundry lying around.)

Robots:
The biggest change that happened in 2007 is, robots took over the world! (If it hasn't happened yet, just wait until next week.) Our computers, video games, and microwave ovens became a little TOO smart. They got tired of doing everything we tell them to do. Now they want vacation time. So my advice to you is: be kind to all your electronic devices, like, say, your toaster! Then, once the robots have taken over, they will remember your kindness.

Did I mention aliens? I think they may land in Elwood City in 2007! But until they do, you can play Alien: Assembly Required.

HOLIDAY GIFTS: The Must-Haves
By Muffy Crosswire

Muffy Crosswire's Byline Picture One thing everyone knows about me: I have very good taste! So here are my top three must-have gifts of the season. (If you didn't get at least one of them, maybe you can get one for your birthday.)

1. Butler Whistle: Tired of straining your voice when calling for your butler? Then use this whistle. Just blow into it, and your butler will come running. (One weird thing, though: all my whistles keep disappearing! I'll have to ask my butler Bailey about that. Maybe he knows where they all went.)

2. Limousine-Mounted Cup Holder: To hold your drink when being driven to school. You certainly don't want to spill any of your Imported Hot Chocolate with Cinnamon Swirl. The cup holder comes in many colors, so you can get one to match all of your limousines.

3. My favorite gift this year was: time with my friends! There's nothing better than hanging out with the gang: playing, talking, laughing, and being goofy. (And if it's time spent with friends at the Sugar Bowl, it's tasty, too!)

Speaking of the Sugar Bowl, there's a whole game about scooping ice cream (yum!). Play Scoop.
