THIS MONTH'S THEME: Happy New Year!

TOP STORY: Resolutions
By Arthur Read

Arthur Read's Byline Picture I asked my friends if they were making any resolutions for the new year. (A resolution is like a promise to do things differently.) Here's what they said:

Buster: I resolve to stop snacking on my food collection. Okay, mouth, listen up: Do NOT eat the exhibit. Do NOT eat the exhibit. Do NOT eat...

D.W.: I resolve to annoy Arthur less. Oh, wait. Did I say LESS? I meant MORE.

Francine: I resolve to prove to others once and for all that I am the best at baseball. Oh, and soccer. Oh, and track, and bowling, and volleyball...

Brain: I resolve to train a monkey to help me with my experiments. Imagine: four extra hands! (If I can't have a monkey, then I resolve to read more.)

Muffy: I resolve to change outfits half as many times each day as I usually do. So that's three outfits a day. Wait, only THREE? Is it too late to change my mind?

Help Muffy feel better about her resolution by playing Muffy's Wardrobe.

FEATURED ARTICLE: Prunella's Predictions
By Prunella the Great Prognosticator

Prunella the Great Prognosticator's Byline Picture Here are my predictions for 2005:

I predict that in the middle of the cold winter, there will be one day that is warmer than the rest. And on this warm day, you will see someone wearing shorts, even though it's still REALLY cold.

I predict that you will get snow down your back, at which time you will do the "Aah! There's snow down my back!" dance.

I predict that at some point you will go outside wearing your light coat, and when the wind starts to blow, you will wish you had worn your heavy coat.

I predict that you will get "hat head" at least once, and one part of your hair will stick straight up for a whole school day. (But don't worry...I predict this will happen to everyone else, too!)

Make predictions with your very own Cootie Catcher.
