THIS MONTH'S THEME: Presents

TOP STORY: Buster's Guide to the Sounds that Presents Make When You Shake Them
By Buster Baxter

Buster Baxter's Byline Picture I'm really good at this. Use these simple rules to predict your presents just by shaking them:

1. No sound: Could be a book, or underwear, or socks.

2. Wisha-wisha-wisha: Probably a jigsaw puzzle.

3. Clicka-clicka: This is a CD, a CD-ROM, or a DVD. Or it may just be a TTGCWYSI (Thing That Goes Clicka-clicka When You Shake It).

4. Ka-slorp, ka-slorp: Definitely chocolate pudding. (If it's more of a "ki-slerp," it's vanilla. Trust me on this one.)

5. Chinga-chinga-chinga-SMASH!: Uh... that WAS a collectible Bionic Bunny statue. In which case, you should hope that one of your other presents is glue!

FEATURED ARTICLE: My Favorite Present
By Francine Frensky

Francine Frensky's Byline Picture I've gotten some great presents. The best was this big box I got a few years ago.

I had NO idea what was inside. When I opened it, I found a baseball, a baseball bat, a baseball glove, and a baseball cap. It was wonderful!

But even better, my dad spent lots of time with me. He taught me how to hit, run, and catch. That's what made it my best present ever!

I also got a drum set for a present once. If you have a question about music, write me a letter in Hey, Francine.
