Summer

When school gets out,

Kids run and shout

For the joy that they

Are happy that day.

Why?

Because summer has bright, blue skies.

Because the days get hot and long, 

Because birds break into song.

But when school starts once more,

Into work children explore,

And wait for summer to begin

At the end of school again.
