Singing Butterfly

Once I saw a butterfly
A singin' in the spring
He was the prettiest purple-blue 
I asked, "Why do you sing?"
"I sing when I am sad," he answered 
"I sing when I'm glad too,
"But I must go now to my home
"Some day I'll sing 'bout you!"
