A tamale is a little meat or vegetable pie made in a cornmeal dough called masa. The tamale is wrapped in a dry corn husk and steamed until cooked. The corn husk is not eaten.
Maracas are percussion instruments. They were originally made from gourds partially filled with seeds or dried beans. Nowadays they may be wood or plastic. Maracas are played by shaking them.
Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. As of 2003, Mexico alone has 20 teams. Two teams try to get a ball through their opponent's goal without using their arms or hands. All other parts of the body are allowed. Goalies may use their hands.
