Animalian Activities
As a literacy-based comedy-adventure series, Animalia offers countless opportunities for teachers and parents to enhance children's emerging language skills. The show offers many points of entry for adults to extend and reinforce the same kind of literate experiences that we grownups are already encouraging for our favorite six to nine-year-olds. If you have been watching the show, you have probably thought of some great extensions and applications yourself.

For the website, we have developed activities that can be adapted to group learning in the classroom or family learning at home. We’ve tried to create experiences that are playful, stimulating, and sociable – that both you and the children in your life will truly enjoy and learn from.

Feel free to adapt and revise these ideas to suit the age, background, interests and personalities of the kids you work with.

Welcome, grownups (and the kids who love them) to enchanting, educational Animalia!
